Survivor David vs. Goliath: The players you voted to return
We asked you who from Survivor: David vs. Goliath would you like to see in a future season in a series of straw polls. Here are our collected results.
Asking for a fan vote is deceptively hard to fairly pull off. Most importantly, every fan of Survivor’s interests are different than the other; each has their own preferences. Some might want no returnees ever to appear on the show, hence asking “should _____ return” yielding 0/20 players for a season. Some might be opposed, but secretly vote only for their favorites.
Sometimes, players themselves call their followers to action and influence the results of a straw poll.
Whatever the case may be, we found our challenges when running the 20 fan straw polls for Survivor: David vs. Goliath. We asked one question 20 different times; “Should _____ return to Survivor in a future season?” We started in boot order and maintained a pace of a player or two five, six or seven days a week.
We called upon our Twitter and Facebook pages to give feedback, but as some of the pre-merge players started linking to their own straw polls on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook, we felt obliged to open it up to as many avenues as possible, including the show’s subreddit. Here are the results of our weeks of straw polls as of press time, noting the number of votes influencing the results.
