Which player will return from extinction: Wendy Diaz

Most of the first players voted out of Survivor are picked because they don’t fit in on their tribe, for whatever reason. They could be deemed too weak in challenges, or they could just be picked essentially at random. There’s no real reason to vote out anyone after knowing them for three days unless they give you a reason.

For the Manu tribe, I wouldn’t be surprised if Wendy’s inability to not keep things at 100% at all times as a reason why she gets voted out early. Though she’s not our first boot prediction, considering that the players at extinction need a way of earning their way back into the game (and players need to have some sort of finishing placement), I wouldn’t be surprised if there is an endurance-based challenge to determine to find a player to survive extinction.

To determine who “finishes” in 18th, 17th, etc., an endurance challenge would be the best bet. Wendy’s small frame makes her the best bet in that kind of challenge, hence our prediction for Big Wendy to come back at the merge.

In modern Survivor, 46-year-old women have a stark dichotomy in the game. They either are the first ones voted out or make it to finale night. Considering Reem’s brash demeanor in her preseason press, I feel she’ll be less like the wallflower like Angela Perkins and be more like the Katrina Radke type from Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers; putting up a small fight on the way out.
