The two Survivor: Edge of Extinction episode 5 preview videos showcases the downs and … more downs of the Lesu tribe; the lovable losers of this game.

This Survivor: Edge of Extinction episode 5 preview piece will showcase two videos from this week’s show as it will air in its entirety on Wednesday.

Our contributor Leigh said it best last week; Lesu (specifically, its OG Manu players) and their constant hardships make them the tribe to root for in Survivor: Edge of Extinction. Nobody said this game was fun (going on a cruise is not the kind of fun you should expect out of this game), but after a Tribal Council where they acted like they had to murder a family member shows how tightly knit this group is.

Well, they’re tightly knit for now, but that may yet change. But first, the primary of the Survivor: Edge of Extinction episode 5 preview videos showcases the Reward Challenge, adapting the Chris Noble special from Ghost Island. Though we don’t see the rundown, we do learn that the winning tribe will get peanut butter and jelly sandwiches plus the ingredients to take home and make their own back at camp, while second place gets a sandwich per player.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a Survivor: Edge of Extinction challenge without the core four of Lauren, Wardog, Kelley and David stumbling about, with Lauren and Wardog incapable of keeping David balanced atop of Wardog’s frame as he tried to retrieve a pair of slings needed to toss at targets to close out the challenge (per the press photos).

This bleeds into the post-Reward-Challenge video of the Survivor: Edge of Extinction episode 5 preview, with Lesu possibly stirring after a potential loss. While the online community might be saying, “Ugh, Wardog…”, Kelley’s saying, “Ugh, Wardog’s mind!” She sees the potential in voting out her loyal stan, Lauren, in order to go with the conniving, Tony Vlachosian Wardog, while calling him “an evil mastermind.”

The chaos that is the Lesu tribe and OG Manu players cannot be contained, which partially explains why this week’s episode will last two hours long. Why Survivor wants us to rush through two eliminations this early into the game is anyone’s guess, but hopefully, it means getting to know some of the lesser-known players in this game.
