It looks like we’re facing a reward challenge and two tribal councils this week, but our Survivor: Edge of Extinction episode 10 press photos can’t give it away.
These Survivor: Edge of Extinction episode 10 press photos will display screen grabs from this week’s show as it will air.
I’ve been talking on and on about the sloppy edit all season long, but you have to give it to the editing team for working so hard on telling a coherent story with what they have. Last week was a no-brainer considering the most epic tribal council in Survivor history happened, but other times they’ve had to scramble to get as much content in as short a window of time.
This week will be the biggest test of the season, as the Survivor: Edge of Extinction episode 10 press photos released this week tease a reward and show little else at challenges. Combine this with the promo that teases two tribal councils and just like the song “Whiplash,” we’re going to be rushing (not dragging) at 215 BPM. So let’s rush through ourselves!
This is the best shot of the reward (plus immunity?) challenge, with Jeff Probst addressing the players in front of the “Squatty Probst” challenge. This is the second time this challenge has appeared after Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers, with players squatting at the right height as to not drop a balanced pot of water on an apparatus over a fire. Look at that majestic menu bar from CBS!
To the disgust of Bret LaBelle (Fijian pizza) and to a lesser extent Gabby (for the pineapple), the players will be competing for pizza at the very least. Look at those olives, peppers and mushrooms (I think), look at that ham, and star to wonder what went wrong with pepperoni?
The rest of the Survivor: Edge of Extinction episode 10 press photos are shots of one or two people in succession, but there are some interesting shots nonetheless. Here’s Wardog setting up shop on his familiar strategy den with Ron, but also Lauren’s red sweater is off to the side. Why are these three talking in particular?
This one is downright criminal considering what we know of Lauren and Kelley. The newbie has looked up to her friend in high regard, but this kind of shot could be of Lauren talking about possibly, maybe, targeting Kelley.
Pair it with this shot of Lauren wide-eyed as Kelley sleep (while also confirming Lauren’s red sweater being at that Ron and Wardog talk), it seems like a possible blindside could be in the works. It could also be misdirection or her thoughts of maybe taking a shot down the line.
Wardog and Lauren aren’t the only people hustling. David Wright’s also present throughout a few of the Survivor: Edge of Extinction episode 10 press photos, with this shot showing him working over Aurora. What could he be cooking up for this conversation to happen?
This was teased on last week’s “Next Time On Survivor” as Devens approaches some sort of plan for him and her to flip the game and take control en route to victory. One question is does this happen before or after the first boot?
Oddly enough, the tightest two in the game right now are Ron and Julie; both of whom will likely vote the same way going forward. They might be the swing vote at one or both of these tribal councils.
The thing I hate the most about Survivor: Edge of Extinction is that members of the jury can affect the game of the players who are still in it. Let’s hope that this next journey on the island will only benefit the chances of one of these Edgers getting back into the game.
