Australian Survivor 2019 finally confirms July 24 premiere date
Australian Survivor 2019 is going back to the Champions vs. Contenders theme, starting a week earlier this year with its July 24 premiere later this month.
If you haven’t found yourself watching Australian Survivor lately (or at all), you best find a way to correct that behavior. Not only has the show produced a wider age range of players (all of which have come prepared to play off the bat), but with longer episodes airing more than once a week, there’s a lot of content to enjoy in the summer offseason as CBS’ version awaits.
For those who have been craving more Survivor, if you want to watch the Australian version you won’t have long to wait. As announced on the show’s social media accounts, Australian Survivor 2019 will premiere its first episode on July 24. For those living in North America, the first episode will go live early in the morning on that date.
Just like the previous season (which featured notorious Survivor pre-merge and runner-up specialist Russell Hantz), this will be a Champions vs. Contenders type of season. 12 players from higher degrees of success in life (read: athletes, professional entertainers, etc.) will compete against 12 contenders who are relative unknowns entering the game.
As mentioned earlier, not only will Australian Survivor 2019 air multiple episodes per week but they will have a longer runtime. You can expect 90-minute runtimes similar to what you can expect for US Survivor seasons premiering in the fall, as Island of the Idols will have a 90-minute premiere. In this case, however, it’s every episode, not just the premiere.
This means that there will be a larger focus on narrative storytelling and getting to know these expanded casts. Additionally, since Australian Survivor edgic is unreliable, it’s hard to predict a winner with any certainty until the end draws near. Who could forget Benji last year suddenly becoming a huge character after the merge despite being so invisible early?
Australian Survivor 2019 is viewable to those with an internet connection or television services within the country.
