Worst Survivor Casts – Number 7: Caramoan (Season 26)

It’s fitting that we have yet another Dark Age season included in this bunch and that’ll become a trend on this list, just you wait.

Next up, however, is Caramoan, which was originally dubbed as Fans vs Favorites 2. It took a popular concept that was first introduced in Micronesia where favorite contestants from past seasons returned to play against fans of the show.

Survivor really missed the mark with the second installment though, as the fans cast were absolute bores who were picked off with ease. The ONLY decent fan cast was Reynold, who at least tried to make things interesting. Otherwise, what a boring bunch we were subjected to. They were so bad that only four of them made it to the merge.

It’s because of this dull group of people that the pre-merge of Caramoan is typically considered as one of the worst in the show’s history.

The favorites didn’t exactly carry the season either and some were questionable picks to begin with. Did we really need to see Francesca (the first boot of Redemption Island) again? Brandon clearly wasn’t in the right frame of mind at this point in his life, which was clear as day with his meltdown he had and he shouldn’t have been on this season either.

This was a season that was trying to piggyback off of a once popular concept, but it fell flat because the “fans” cast for Caramoan were not anywhere close to what the fans in Micronesia were.
