Ok, Survivor fans, it looks like we’re getting closer and closer to Survivor season 41 actually happening! There have been some things that have come out over the last several days, which gives diehards hope that Survivor season 41 is right around the corner.

Because of the pandemic, things are being done a little differently, which is added to the challenge of filming. It has been known that season 41 would be filmed in Fiji and it appears that the production crew has recently been arriving in Fiji.

According to Inside Survivor, the production crew has been arriving in Fiji and once they arrive, they are quarantined for 14 days in their own rooms. Once they have the all-clear, another 14 crew members are flown in and they are quarantined for 14 days as well.

This staggered approach shows a couple of things: CBS wants to get this filmed and they also want to do it as safely as possible. If they can pull off the filming season 41 with minimum covid cases or hopefully none at all, then this should be the model that other networks use to film.

Is CBS still casting Survivor season 41?

If the production crew is already arriving in Fiji, this means one thing: if you were hoping to make it on season 41, then you are more than likely out of luck.

According to, in theory, the cast was more than likely determined well over a year ago, as the season was supposed to be filmed in 2020; however,  no one really knows for sure if they had to do a major overhaul of the cast or not. The cast is expected to fly out to Fiji in mid to late March, so, we are going to assume the cast is set and going through the motions to get ready for filming.

Survivor season 41 cast spoilers

Now, for one of the most important things: Is the Survivor season 41 cast comprised of all new people, former cast members, all previous winners, yadda, yadda, yadda. You all know what I’m talking about, as the cast is one of the important aspects of Survivor.

So, with that said, Inside Survivor has addressed all the rumors about casting. According to the site, there are no returnees in the plans for Seasons 41 or 42 and there are no returnees that are part of the cast.

What does this mean for us Survivor fans? This means that we will no doubt have new contestants to love as well as some new villains to root against, some backstabbing and of course some blindsides. So, Survivor fans get ready because the time is drawing near and as always, I can’t wait to hear those magic words “The Tribe Has Spoken” once again!
