Cirie Fields shares her biggest fear about Survivor 50

Cirie is scared of one thing happening in Survivor 50, and it's probably every Survivor player's worst fear, too.
Cirie Fields, pictured here during season 34 “SURVIVOR: GAME CHANGERS” will return to compete on the milestone Season 50 of SURVIVOR, premiering Spring 2026 on CBS and Paramount+. Circie previously appears on seasons 12 (PANAMA-EXILE ISLAND), 16 (MICRONESIA – FANS VS. FAVORITES), 20 (HEROES VS. VILLAINS), and 34 (GAME CHANGERS). Cirie Fields is opening up about her greatest fear before heading out to Fiji to play Survivor 50.

In a new interview posted on the All Winners Survivor Instagram, Cirie revealed that she's not worried about her strategy for Survivor 50 at all. She is worried about one thing, though, and it's something that has yet to happen to her in Survivor so far.

"The only thing I'm really, truly concerned about: I've yet to be the first person voted out, and I don't even want to put that out in the universe, but I don't want to be the first person voted out," Cirie said.

That is absolutely true. Cirie has played Survivor four times, along with one season of Australian Survivor, and she's never been voted out first. In fact, she almost always goes very far in the game every time she plays. She's also the only person in Survivor history to be voted out of Survivor after every other player played an advantage or idol to make themselves safe at Tribal Council in Survivor: Game Changers.

Cirie is currently one of the stars of Survivor Australia vs. the World, which just premiered earlier this month in a land down under. Cirie also competed on Survivor 50, which is scheduled to air beginning in February 2026 on CBS and Paramount+. That's where she's worried that she will be the first person voted out of the game.

Personally, I don't see it happening like that Survivor. Cirie is obviously one of the best players in Survivor history, but she also seems to play a game that works well in the new era, even though she's an old-school-ish type of player if that makes sense. Her strategy, which she talks about in the video, is a very social strategy. Being a social player is arguably the biggest asset in the new era of Survivor. Yes, gameplay is incredibly important. Moves need to be made, but it's less about building a resume, and more about playing the game you set out to play, surviving if you don't, making moves when you can, and making strong connections along the way. That's the Cirie formula!

Can that strategy win Survivor 50 is the big question. I think Cirie can definitely win, but so many things will have to go her way, just like with anyone. But, with these legends, it's either going to go one of two ways. Either the players are going to target the legends, or they're going to be pretty open to working with them. Like, this is a dream come true for many of these players to play with the legends!

Unfortunately, Cirie can't pass Boston Rob or Parvati Shallow on the all-time list of days played in Survivor, but she can move up to no. 3 if she lasts a week longer in the game than Ozzy Lusth. Whatever happens, Cirie has revealed this will be the final time she plays Survivor.

We'll find out how it all plays out soon! I think we'll probably get our first real look at Survivor 50 during Survivor 49, which premieres on Wednesday, Sept. 24.
