It's the end of the line for Cirie Fields. The Survivor legend appears to be walking away from the game after her fifth appearance on the hit show. CBS viewers will see Cirie on Survivor 50 next spring, but she has called this season her "swan song" in Fiji. It's understandable. She has played these reality competition shows for years.
Survivor fans first met Cirie during Season 12 in Panama. Exile Island revealed Cirie's unique strategic side of the game. It led to her being invited back for Survivor 16: Fans vs. Favorites, and later for Survivor 20: Heroes vs. Villains and Survivor 34: Game Changers.
Survivor 50 wrapped already, and shortly after filming, Cirie had some glowing comments about the new season.
"Best season ever," Cirie called Survivor 50. "Best. Not just because I was there. Best. Season. Ever."
That's high praise from a Survivor legend, but fans have to wait until early 2026 to see for themselves. So what makes it the best season? We are left to guess about that until a few months after the Survivor 49 season finale.
Cirie Fields is 'tired' after Survivor 50
"I'm tired," Cirie answered when she was asked about keeping the door open for future Survivor appearances.
"I'll go and do a guest spot if they want me to come and teach some of these young’uns how to play," she revealed to Entertainment Weekly.
Cirie also joked about possibly becoming a Survivor coach or a set nurse if host Jeff Probst needs it. But when it comes to being a player, it sounds like she is ready to call it a day after 20 years on the show.
"Somebody told me, never say never. So I never say never. But I feel like 50 was my swan song," the Survivor legend elaborated.
Prior to Survivor 50, Ciries ranks No. 4 on the list of Survivor players who have played the most days in the game. While she can't catch Boston Rob or Parvati Shallow, who rank No. 1 and No. 2, she could overtake Ozzy Lusth if she lasts seven days longer than him on Survivor 50.
Though she appears to be done with Survivor, Cirie isn't retiring from reality TV. She still has some goals for what might come next in life. Cirie mentioned that Deal or No Deal Island "is looking attractive," and that she would enjoy doing Extracted with her family. Having someone as well-known as Cirie helping lead a family member through Extracted could be huge for that show.
In addition to Cirie, the Survivor 50 cast includes Mike White, Dee Valladares, Ozzy, Jonathan Young, Joe Hunter, and many more familiar players.
Survivor 50 premieres in February 2026.
