Survivor 50: In the Hands of the Fans is breaking tons of records and making history on a weekly basis. Now, we know that there's another milestone moment on the way in Survivor 50 episode 9, "I Deserve All of This," which airs on Wednesday, April 22, and it's all about the hostess with the mostest, Jeff Probst.

For the first time in Survivor history, Jeff Probst is going to participate in an immunity challenge with the players. We know Probst has tested the challenges behind the scenes, but this will be the first time he goes toe to toe, or in this case, hand to hand, with the players.

In the first images released from episode 9, you can see Probst explaining the challenge with his own personal rope and pulley system in front of him. Behind the players, each player has their own setup.

Earlier this year, Probst revealed on The Tonight Show that he would be competing in a challenge during Survivor 50. Jimmy Fallon, the host of the series, will also be heading out to Fiji at some point this season.

For fans who are seriously in the loop, this is the "Wrist Assured" or "Water Weight" immunity challenge. The players will hold a proportionate weight attached to a rope and dangled in the air. The players must hold the weight in position. Last player standing wins immunity!

This challenge is basically all wrist and forearm strength, so we'll see if Probst has what it takes to compete with these players.

This is obviously a bold move for Probst because there's a lot that can go wrong. First of all, if he is the first person out in the challenge after all these years of holding players to a certain standard, that's going to be embarrassing! These players are tired and famished, and he's probably pretty well fed with all that Applebee's back at his camp.

On the other side, Probst can gain a lot of respect if he torches these players and is the last one standing. It's a real win-lose situation for Probst, honestly.

There are a few players left who have competed in this challenge before. Joe Hunter finished runner-up to David Kinne in Survivor 48. Tiffany Ervin lost in Survivor 46 to Charlie Davis, who is no longer in the game.

It'll be interesting to see how this challenge plays out. Obviously, Joe, from doing it before and his general strength, should be a favorite along with Jonathan Young and Ozzy Lusth. You just know Ozzy is going to perform well in this challenge, but Joe and Jonathan are massive, strong humans. Heading into the challenge, I would be betting on Joe, Jonathan, or Ozzy to win this. Sorry, Jeff!

Now, it will be really interesting to see if Jeff ups the ante for these players. Is it just immunity and reward on the line in this challenge? Is there are bag of rice or another type of food? I'm ready to see what the producers have cooked up for this challenge.

Don't miss Survivor 50 episode 9 at 8 p.m. ET on Wednesday, April 22, on CBS and Paramount+!
