Jeff Probst makes MrBeast eat chaos Survivor auction items in new behind-the-scenes clip

After MrBeast brought his own spin to the Survivor auction this week, host Jeff Probst taught him the basics with a few less-than-desirable food items.

This week we finally got to see MrBeast’s Survivor episode, which—truthfully—fans have been hesitant about since the new of his appearance first broke. However MrBeast (Jimmy Donaldson) finished episode 10, “A Side Dish of Chaos,” in high regard after his Super Beware Advantage created some stellar gameplay and left our castaways with double the usual winning prize money.

And now in a new behind-the-scenes clip post to Survivor’s Instagram, Jeff Probst takes the YouTube sensation through a series of potential auction items, asking him how much he’d realistically pay for them if he were in the game. Check it out below!

After tasting a huge sub sandwich that he said he’d realistically pay $250-$300 for in game, Jimmy went on to reveal a few more blind items that definitely weren’t up to his usual dinner standards.

The first was a live grub, which he immediately turned away from. Of course, those are a classic staple of Survivor’s challenge and auction meal plan, appearing in close to 20 seasons of the pre-new era game. And when he went to pick it up, he realized it was still moving, which he never knew as a fan of the show.

But to his credit, he took a bite and went for it—though if he were playing the classic “Buggin’ Out” challenge, he would not have won because he wasn’t able to keep it down. Nothing like how Aubry Bracco attacked the two grubs presented to her in exchange for chocolate chip cookies and milk.

He got a few more items that he didn’t necessarily want to eat, but did anyway, leaning into the spirit of what Survivor is. It’s great to see, especially after Zac Brown’s contribution to the season was spearfishing to live out his own Survivor experience. But Jimmy’s Survivor experience came because of his exciting contribution to the show. As a fan of the show, myself, it was fun to see him having fun in addition to providing something beneficial to the season.

And one of the things I always wonder is, if I’m ever on Survivor, would I eat the gross things? Or would I pull a Rizo Velovic and hope someone else ate it so I could just enjoy the yummy rewards? Luckily in the new era, this is the first time the bug eating has returned, so I might never have to find out. But kudos to Jimmy for giving it a shot (even though he wasn’t fighting for $1 million).
