Let's talk about "fame." After getting voted out ofSurvivor 50 episode4, Mike White, the creator of HBO'sThe White Lotus,opened up toEntertainment Tonight about the details that fans can look forward to going intoThe White Lotus season 4.
Production on season 4 is expected to begin in April 2026. Filming is taking place in Saint-Tropez, France, specifically at the Château de La Messardière. Severalcast membershave been confirmed including Helena Bonham Carter, Sandra Bernhard, Kumail Nanjiani, Max Greenfield, Chris Messina, Alexander Ludwig, AJ Michalka, Steve Coogan, Chloe Bennet, Charlie Hall, Jarrad Paul, and others.
During the interview withEntertainment Tonight,Mike noted that season 4 ofTheWhite Lotusrevolves around being famous. When asked if he has recruited anybody fromSurvivor 50,Mike mentioned there are discussions in the works and confirmed there will beSurvivorcameos in the upcoming season.
In an interview withPeople, Mike also confirmed the cameos, but he revealed that he hasn't told the players yet.
"We start shooting in a few weeks. The cast is finally coming together. Maybe at some point I'll announce theSurvivorpeople, but I have to tell them first before I tell the world."
This would not be the first time we’ve seen former Survivor players featured in a season ofThe White Lotus. Mike White has brought a fewSurvivorcontestants from his seasonon Survivor,David vs. Goliath, including Alec Merlino, who was featured in season one ofTheWhite Lotus, Angelina Keeley and Kara Kay, who played in season 2 and was mentioned on the current season ofSurvivorduring one of Angelina’s confessionals, and lastly, Natalie Cole, Carl Boudreaux, and a quick cameo of fellow season 50 contestant, Christian Hubicki in season 3.
In another interview thatSurvivorposted on socials, Jeff Probst and Mike talk about the inspiration Survivor has on the show,The White Lotus. Probst and White both mention how the visuals and aspects ofSurvivorhave contributed to certain scenes inThe White Lotus. Probst even gives fans insight on how Survivor is dropping “White Lotus easter eggs” while filming scenes of Survivor 50 for White to notice.
When Mike begins discussing how past seasons have former Survivor player cameos inThe White Lotus, White explains how the previousSurvivorcameos are friends from his season ofDavid vs. Goliath,and it was more for fun. But now that fans have noticed the cameos, the brief snippets have gained a lot of excitement, and viewers are putting in their votes as to who might be the nextSurvivorcameo.
Could it be a player like Ozzy Lusth, who is an early seasonSurvivorcontestant and making a big impact onSurvivor 50? Or will White bring in a “new era” player like Emily Flippen who helped formerDavid vs. Goliath Survivorplayer andThe White Lotusactor, Christian Hubicki, formulate his blindside inSurvivor 50?
