Twelve years ago, Natalie Anderson won $1 million after a strategic masterclass in gameplay on Survivor: San Juan del Sur. And now, she’s back in finalist competition mode after earning a spot in the Final Three in season 4 of Cozy Earth’s Bed Rot Challenge.
The web series began three weeks ago with 10 internet and reality stars fighting each other for $100,000 with only one objective: don’t touch the floor. But it definitely hasn't been any ordinary weekend bed rot. Our competitors have had to survive brutal challenges, sleepless nights, and most of them never even got to sit on a real bed.
We had three fan-favorite Survivor alum—Natalie Anderson (Survivor: San Juan del Sur, Survivor: Winners at War), Carolyn Wiger (Survivor 44), and Ben Katzman (Survivor 46)—dominating most of the season via the strategic and social skills they honed during their time on Survivor. But how did the island veterans handle the most mentally and physically challenging game on the internet?

Carolyn Wiger
Carolyn entered the Bed Rot Challenge the same way she’s entered every game she’s played—with her raw, authentic, and unpredictable energy. Throughout the competition, next to body builders, reality dating show stars, and quiet influencers, Carolyn was a lightning rod for strategic disruption.
From Day 1, she clashed heavily with her bed neighbor Luke Yates, a YouTube bodybuilding influencer, who loved getting under her skin. So Carolyn fought fire with fire and every episode, slammed the “elimination button” initiating an elimination challenge in the hopes of eventually getting Luke out. Unfortunately, Luke continued to win challenge-after-challenge which eventually led to Carolyn’s elimination at the Final Five.
But before she left, she was given the power to assign one player a nightmare—specifically a donut shaped bed that forced the sleeper into the most uncomfortable position of the season. She targeted Natalie after the two had an argument earlier in the episode, then left without another word.

Ben Katzman
There’s truly no one more perfectly engineered to rot in a bed for money than Ben. Fans fell in love with him on Survivor during fun clips of him and ally Charlie Davis passing the time at camp by creating fun games together—like going back and forth listing Metallica and Taylor Swift songs. Ben entered this competition like it was a vacation, ready to relax and have fun.
And despite the fact that he didn’t have a real bed for the majority of the competition, he kept the chill he’s well known for, almost coming off as immune to psychological torture. No matter the challenge or the nightmare he was given, Ben responded with his signature laid-back attitude, keeping his mantra of, “ready to rock.”
But when it came down to the Final Four, during a neck-in-neck elimination challenge, Ben just narrowly missed the mark and was sent home. This was the first time in the entire competition he truly showed some intense, human emotions, which proved that while he was having fun, he was also dedicated to winning.

Natalie Anderson
I wasn’t sure how Natalie was going to fare in this competition because of her background as an extremely active athlete and coach in her everyday life. But she’s shown the doubters that it doesn’t matter what the challenge is, when she is in competitive mode, nothing will stop her from getting the “W.”
Throughout the entire competition, Natalie was on pure mental lockdown. She saw her bed like an endurance challenge, her fellow contestants as background noise she didn’t need to listen to, and challenges as opportunities for others to lose. While the influencers around her started to spiral in the confinement, Natalie locked in and refused to take her eyes off the prize.
And now, through her unsurprising dominance, she’s overlasted her fellow Survivor alum and earned a spot in the Final Three. But with only two episodes remaining, who knows what’s in store for the Survivor winner? While she’s so far successfully navigated the competition, will she be able to bring home the biggest grand prize in Bed Rot Challenge history? We can’t wait to see what happens next for this fierce competitor.
