On Wednesday, March 5, Survivor 48 aired its second episode which included a moment between Jeff Probst and contestant Mitch Guerra that fans are still talking about. The interaction was just praised by the National Stuttering Association.

"Mitch, I have a question," Jeff asked after Mitch gave a little insight into Civa's camp life, "when you're struggling, do you want help from someone, or is part of it is to let you finish when you're ready to finish?"

We then got an uplifting moment where Mitch, Survivor's first contestant who has a speech impediment, shared his experience and thanked Jeff for taking the time to ask such an important question.

Mitch posted the full clip as well as a list of ways to be an encouraging and good listener to his Instagram. Check it out below!

By showcasing this exchange, Survivor gave a platform for Mitch to educate not only his fellow castaways, but the millions of people watching at home. The genuine moment of celebration for the stuttering community is being praised across the board with the National Stuttering Association calling it, "a BIG WIN for stuttering awareness."

In their statement, they also said, "This is one of the most powerful moments of meaningful stuttering education that will be seen by millions."

After the NSA posted the clip to their own social media platforms, comments from the stuttering community started flooding in, cheering Mitch for representing more than 79 million people worldwide in such a respectful and positive light.

This is not the only moment Mitch has shown he's not just a great player, but also a great person at heart—and it surely will not be the last. In my pre-season predictions, I had no doubt that he would be a player who captured America's heart, and only two episodes in, he's definitely already there!
