Survivor 48 is finally here! Our team at Surviving Tribal has been anxiously awaiting the premiere of the new season after the epic Survivor 47 finale. Jeff Probst dropped the first trailer for Survivor 48 right after Rachel LaMont tied the record for most individual immunity wins by a woman (four), played a hidden immunity idol, and picked up seven of the eight jury votes to win the season.
Then, we didn't know much about the new season, but now, we know a lot more, especially what to expect in the new season. We shared how to watch Survivor 48 on CBS and Paramount+, along with the episode schedule.
What time is Survivor 48 on?
New episodes of Survivor 48 will air at 8 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. C on Wednesdays beginning with the season premiere on Wednesday, Feb. 26.
Here's when you can watch new episodes of Survivor 48 depending on where you live:
Time Zone | Episode Time |
---|---|
Eastern | 8 p.m. ET |
Central | 7 p.m. C |
Mountain | 7 p.m. MT |
Pacific | 8 p.m. PT |
Hawaiian | 7 p.m. HST |
If you live on the West Coast, you obviously have to wait until 8 p.m. PT to watch the new episode of Survivor. I always recommend fans avoid social media because there are SO MANY SPOILERS floating around during and after the East Coast airing.
Also, I want to mention that the season premiere is a two-hour episode. So, for the season premiere, the new episode will air from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. The rest of the episodes of Survivor 48 will be 90-minute episodes and will end around 9:30 p.m.
The jury is still out on what's going to happen with the season finale for Survivor 48. Remember, the show switched things up with the two-part finale, which consisted of two, two-hour episodes, essentially. For years, Survivor always ended with a three-hour season finale, so it's going to be interesting what happens for Survivor 48. CBS has not revealed if the two-part finale is here to stay or not.
We are anticipating each episode of Survivor will air at 8 p.m. ET, but we'll let you know if that changes throughout the season.
Survivor 48 schedule

There are a few things that we don't know yet, but we're anticipating a 13-episode season just like most seasons of the new era. Of course, Survivor 47 was a 14-episode season, but it's unclear, as mentioned, if CBS is planning a two-part finale or not. I think the two-part finale worked really well because we got to spend more time with the players, but I'm sure that the season will determine what exactly happens and how the season comes together.
We shared the likely schedule for Survivor 48 below. We'll continue to add episode titles and information to the release schedule throughout the new season of the CBS series.

Where to watch Survivor 48

There are a few ways to watch Survivor in the streaming age. Long gone are the days of watching Survivor live or being forced to physically or digitally record new episodes like it was when the show premiered in 2000.
CBS and Paramount+ are the two most popular places to watch new episodes of Survivor. Obviously, CBS is the home of the live episodes, but you have to have a specific plan to watch Survivor live on Paramount+. That's the Paramount+ with Showtime plan. The other plan is Paramount+ Essential plan, but you don't get live CBS with that plan, so you have to wait until Thursday mornings to watch new episodes of Survivor on Paramount+ with that plan.
We shared the cost breakdown of the two Paramount+ plans:
Plan | Cost | Can you watch Survivor live? | Free Trial |
---|---|---|---|
Paramount+ Essential | $7.99 | No | Yes, 1 month |
Paramount+ with Showtime | $12.99 | Yes | Yes, 1 month |
You can try Paramount+ for a one week free trial right now.
Most fans will tune in and watch Survivor on CBS through a cable or satellite provider like Dish Network, Direct TV, and similar companies. Others will watch Survivor on CBS through a live streaming provider, such as YouTube TV, Fubo TV, DirecTV Stream, Hulu + Live TV, and more. Those are the most expensive options because you have to pay for the full channel packages.
We shared a pricing breakdown for those services below:
Live Streaming Service | Starting Cost |
---|---|
YouTube TV | $82.99 |
Fubo TV | $59.99 |
Hulu + Live TV | $82.99 |
DirecTV Stream | $86.99 |
With a few of those live streaming providers, like Fubo, the listed cost is a special promotion and is subject to change.
So, that's how you can watch new episodes of Survivor 48 all season long! Of all the streaming services listed, I don't think there's a bad option, you know? I have a YouTubeTV subscription, and that works great for watching and "recording" episodes of Survivor, but I've heard great things from those who tune in with the Paramount+ with Showtime plan.
Obviously, the toughest sell for Survivor fans is the Paramount+ Essential plan because you have to wait until Thursday morning to watch the episodes. If you don't mind spoilers or possibly having the episode ruined,
Watch the Survivor 48 on Wednesday nights all spring on CBS and Paramount+!
