While the Survivor 47 cast was celebrating Rachel LaMont's historic win in part two of the season finale in Fiji, Jeff Probst and the Survivor gang shared the first look at Survivor 48.

Luckily, we don't have to wait too long for the new season. Survivor 48 premieres on Wednesday, Feb. 26. New episodes will be released every Wednesday throughout the spring.

Survivor 48 trailer

After all the pizza was eaten and the champagne drunk during the Survivor 47 Aftershow, Jeff Probst rolled the tape and introduced fans to the upcoming season of Survivor. Honestly, I have to say this is a pretty epic teaser trailer for the new season.

The teaser begins with the best quote of the bunch!

"Survivor has been calling me for a long time," a contestant says via voiceover. "I just wasn't listening."

If that's not the most exciting answer for Jeff Probst, I don't know what is! Over the next few minutes, we get a bunch of looks at the new players, although we don't know their names yet. More on that shortly! Then, we see some clips of the players competing in challenges without context. They also share information about themselves and why they want to compete on Survivor. There's also a strange plug for chocolate milk, but no, thanks. We're good, weird muscle guy!

"I felt like Jeff Probst was talking to me when he said, 'come on, apply now," another player says. Again, we have another quote right out of the Jeff Probst playbook for Survivor, and it's glorious.

Then, the teaser trailer ends with a rapid cut of Jeff Probst calling in medical, calling something a "historic moment," and yelling, "I like it!"

Can we just watch the Survivor 48 premiere right now? I don't know how we are going to wait more than two months for the new season to premiere on CBS and Paramount+.

The Survivor 48 cast should be officially announced soon

We're still waiting for the Survivor 48 cast to be officially announced, although we just confirmed who a lot of the 18 new players will be. There are unofficial reports circulating with the rumored Survivor 48 cast. Those will just be rumors until CBS announces the full cast.

Usually, for previous seasons, we learn the new cast about three or four weeks before the season premieres. That's what happened with Survivor 47. The cast was announced in early September and then the season premiered later that month.

With Survivor 48 premiering at the end of February, we should learn the cast sometime in early February if CBS follows the similar patterns of the other seasons.

We'll share more news about Survivor 48 as soon as we find out! We're not expecting a lot of big news from Survivor 48 to be announced over the next few weeks. We should learn more about Survivor 49 and Survivor 50 as the show gears up to start production in mid-2025.

And, around the holidays, CBS will probably share some more promos and teasers for Survivor 48. We usually see some new teasers or trailers when CBS starts rolling promos to announce new an returning shows during the NFL season. That's obviously the big weekly programming on CBS right now.

Stay tuned for more Survivor 48 news!
