It's officially the most wonderful time of the year in the world ofSurvivor!TheSurvivor 47cast just dropped. Now, it's time to meet all 18 newSurvivorplayers.
Every season, theSurvivorcast reveal means the game is right around the corner. Yes, many of these cast members were revealed last spring whenSurvivor 46ended.Survivor 47premieredon Wednesday, Sept. 18.
In the premiere, we'll saw these 18 new contestants hit the beach in Fiji,split into three tribes, and start playing the game we know and love. Changing things up a bit,Survivoralso revealed the cast list. So, we knew heading into the season which tribes the new players were on when the season 47 began. Thanks, CBS!
We should also mention that when we say "new" cast we mean a new cast. For the sixth season in a row and sinceWinners at War(season 40), there are no returning players in theSurvivor 47cast. So far, we haven't seen any returning players in theNew Era. That will change withSurvivor 50,though!
Thanks to new images shared by CBS, we also were able to learn which contestants have been selected for each tribe. We shared the ages, where the players live, what they do for work, and tribes of each of the 18 contestants.
Meet the Survivor 47 cast
In addition to dropping the cast list and images, CBS switched it up forSurvivor 47.The network shared an almost 20-minute video with the cast allowing the cast to introduce themselves and how they'll be playing the game. It's a great way to meet these characters before the season premieres on Wednesday, Sept. 18.
I highly recommend watching the intros in the video. For the first time in a while, you get a really good sense of who these people are, how they are going to try to play, and whatSurvivormeans to them, which is super cool!
Let's meet the official cast ofSurvivor 47!First up, it's Andy Rueda of the Gata tribe.

It was shocking to see TK Foster go home as early as he did. Despite some issues with his tribe, TK is easily the most physical presence inSurvivor 47,but he didn't make it past episode 2 after a little meltdown following the immunity challenge.
