The Survivor 47 finale is officially here, and the winner of Survivor 47 has been revealed! There will be a few spoilers ahead, so turn back if you don't want to know who made the Final Three, who lost the fire-making challenge, and who won Survivor 47!
What a great cast this season!
Of the 15 players voted out, nearly every vote has been an epic blindside. And, there have been some devastating blindsides this season. It's clear that's how Jeff Probst and CBS like it, and it's also how new-era players want to play!
Throughout the season, we've updated this Survivor 47 elimination order list. Every time a new player was voted out, we added them and a description of how they were eliminated to the list.
Let's get the list of Survivor 47 players voted out so far!
Jon Lovett
Voted out: First
Jon Lovett was the first person voted out of Survivor 47, which was a shock to pretty much everyone, including Jeff Probst. Jon is the host of Pod Save America, and he's definitely the most famous person in this season of the series. As we pointed out before the season, Jon was featured in every promo for Survivor 47, basically. It looked like he was poised to make a deep run in the game.
That did not happen.
Jon had a tough time connecting with the other players on the Gata tribe, although he did hit things off with Andy Rueda. Then, the first immunity challenge happened. Andy, amid heat exhaustion and an emotional meltdown, revealed that he was going to target Jon once the camp returned to the beach. It took the bull's eye off Andy's back and put it right on Jon's.
Back at camp, Jon tried to make a big move to take out Anika with Andy's help, but the damage was done. Every person on the Gata tribe voted for Jon. The tribe had spoken, and Jon was the first person eliminated from Survivor 47.
Ultimately, it's a bummer that Jon was eliminated so early in the game. Jeff Probst even revealed that he thought Jon was heading for a deep run in the game, but after Andy's meltdown, Jon caught in the middle of a rough situation.
In the new era of Survivor, we know players don't waste votes to get rid of weak or unserious players, and it makes so much sense that the Gata tribe, as Sam mentioned, saw Jon, who is a very smart person, and took the chance to vote him out before he could get his footing in the game.
"This will bring so much joy to my friends and family making fun of me for years," Jon said of being voted out first in his exit interview. "Maybe, in the end, it will be worth it."
TK Foster
Voted out: Second
Surprisingly, TK Foster was voted out second in Survivor 47.
After the season premiere and early in the second episode, "Epic Boss Girl Move," TK looked like he'd found a solid alliance on the Tuku tribe. They'd fared well in three challenges to this point, and he did a great job securing the supplies for his tribe in the face-off against Aysha Welch in the premiere.
Things crumbled for TK immediately after the challenge. He called out his tribe for smiling, which he later apologized for kind of, but his domineering personality, overconfidence, and inability to read the room led to an "epic boss girl move" to take him out.
TK had allied with Kyle Ostwald and Tiyana Hallums and tried to bring in Gabe Ortis to vote out Sue Smey, but Gabe and Tiyana had other plans. After some scrambling, Gabe brought Caroline Vidmar and Sue together to target TK. Tiyana, however, was the deciding vote. She left Kyle in the dark to take out TK.
TK and Kyle voted for Sue while the rest of the tribe voted for TK.
It was a bold move this early in the game. TK was clearly the biggest challenge threat in the game from an athletic perspective. We'll see if the move helps or hurts the Tuku tribe going forward.
Aysha Welch
Voted out: Third
Aysha was the third contestant eliminated on Survivor 47. Tribe Lavo headed to the tribal council in the final moments of the episode and it looked like it would be between Aysha and Sol. Sol knew Rome was lying about his vote, and he told Jeff he thought he might be going home. Rome then ended up playing his idol. When we saw the final results, we learned that Rome, Genevieve, and Sol all voted for Aysha, meaning she was going home.
The reality TV podcaster made an impression from the premiere episode, though her gameplay wasn't as strong as you'd expect from someone who's been watching Survivor for years. It became apparent from early on that she and Rome weren't getting along — though to be fair Rome began ruffling the feathers of the full tribe. She seemed to improve in her gameplay as the challenges continued, but when it came to the politics of the game, Aysha fell short.
While speaking with Entertainment Weekly after her elimination, Aysha said "it was incredibly tough" to be the first person voted off from her tribe.
Kishan Patel
Voted out: Fourth
Kishan Patel started out very strong in the game. I thought he had a great chance to make it to the end. He seemed smart, savvy, and aware of the game going on around him, and he didn't seem like the type to slip up and make an enemy. Unfortunately, that's what happened.
As Rome and Kishan were sharing options, Rome asked for a name to give Sol Yi to convince him to give up his Shot in the Dark. Kishan said Genevieve's name. Later, Kishan and Genevieve decided to target Rome, but Rome slipped up and told Genevieve that they had told Sol they would potentially vote for her if he gave up the Shot in the Dark.
Genevieve grew frustrated by that and told Rome that Kishan had actually planned to blindside him. At tribal council, Rome used his Steal a Vote advantage on Kishan. Teeny had already lost a vote for this tribal, so the only voters were Genevieve, Rome, and Sol. They all voted for Kishan, and Kishan was the fourth player voted out of Survivor 47.
Kishan didn't have hard feelings about his tribe during his interview.
"I got blindsided as simple as it can be," Kishan said. "Some people might have caught wind of what I was doing, which led to my downfall. So, props to them. I respect the move. I respect what they did."
Anika Dhar
Voted out: Fifth
Poor, Anika! We've seen blindsides pretty much every episode so far, but some players take it much harder than others. Anika definitely took it quite hard, as hard as anybody on Survivor 47 so far.
After Andy cost the Gata tribe tons of time in the immunity challenge, it seemed obvious that Andy was going to be the one going home, but Andy, Sam, and Sierra executed their plan to perfection. They left Rachel in the dark and blindsided Anika, who was the fifth person voted out of Survivor 47.
I can't believe that they actually kept Andy around, but hey, it makes a little bit of sense if Sam and Sierra felt like Anika was going to flip on them later.
Rome Cooney
Voted out: Sixth
Rome's game finally caught up with him. He played the game with so much love and passion, but it's possible that passion blinded him to the fact that the other players clearly noted how aggressively he was playing. Right before the merge, Rome tried to target Kyle Ostwald by lying, basically, about Kyle flipping on his allies. Rome didn't realize that Kyle had great relationships with his tribemates. They knew that Kyle wasn't the type of person to just start targeting everyone, so Rome made a huge error. Then, Kyle won immunity, so he couldn't get voted out anyway.
Rome tried to change plans and target Sol Yi, his nemesis from the Lavo tribe, but everyone already knew what Rome was trying to do. They appeared to go along with the plan only to blindside him at tribal council. Rome was the sixth person voted out of Survivor 47, and he didn't get a warm reception at Ponderosa.
Tiyana Hallums
Voted out: Seventh
Tiyana Hallums is the latest Survivor 47 voted out via blindside. It wasn't as much as the vote being the blindside, but more of how she even ended up on the chopping block in the first place. After the Tuku tribe plus Rachel LaMont lost a very weird immunity challenge, Sol Yi found an advantage during the reward portion. He sent the advantage to Rachel, which allowed her to leave tribal council immediately, safe from the vote. She didn't get a vote, but she also was clearly the mark for that vote. Tuku's plan splintered instantly, and Gabe Ortis, Caroline Vidmar, and Sue Smey teamed up to vote out Tiyana.
It's so wild because Tiyana probably shoud still be in the game. Like, I don't know how much I love this twist that gave Sol the ability to save someone, but it was devastating to watch Tiyana leave the game.
Sierra Wright
Voted out: Eighth (First member of the jury)
Sierra Wright found herself on the wrong side of the blindside this time! While it looked like the Tuku members were in trouble, it actually turned out that it was Gata who was left on the outside after Sam Phalen lost his vote during the auction. Later, Sue Smey and Kyle Ostwald won immunity, and they could not be voted out. With only two remaining Tuku players to target, the vote shifted to the former Gata tribe with Andy Rueda happy to throw Sam, Sierra, and Rachel under the bus and vote them out.
After Rachel LaMont player her Shot in the Dark, Sierra and Sam received the same number of votes, four votes each at tribal council. In the revote, Sam couldn't vote, but it didn't matter. The players voted out Sierra, who was shocked to be voted out at this stage of the game. She definitely didn't see it coming, but she probably should have given how weird things got at camp.
Now, it'll be very interesting to see how Rachel and Sam pick themselves up after tribal council. The Gata tribe definitely feels like their on the bottom, especially with Andy working for them.
Sol Yi
Voted out: Ninth (Second member of the Jury)
In the second half of Survivor 47, Sol Yi has been a great player. He's been central to all of the action basically the whole season when he was targeted by Rome Cooney. Then, he made a huge move in episode 7 by saving Rachel LaMont, but it became clear that he didn't have the strongest allies in the game. He tried to work with Rachel and Andy, but he also tried to stick with the former Lavo players, who sold him out to Gabe, Sue, and Caroline.
In the end, it was a pretty united vote against Sol after a lot of confusion at tribal council. He was the ninth player voted out of Survivor 47 and the second member of the jury.
Gabe Ortis
Voted out: 10th (Third member of the jury)
It's honestly surprising Gabe made it as far as he did in the game! He was always a physical threat, insulated by the game's strongest alliance, and was very persuasive, as we saw when he convinced Sam to give up his Shot in the Dark so the tribe could get some rice.
Gabe was obviously a huge threat moving forward, and the tribe finally decided to make a major move in episode 10. Gabe was voted out because the other players recognized it was the right time in the game to make a move. Sue and Gabe went after Genevieve while the rest of the tribe targeted Gabe.
He was the 10th person voted out of Survivor 47.
Kyle Ostwald
Voted out: 11th (Fourth member of the jury)
What a devastating elimination in Survivor 47 episode 11 for Kyle Ostwald. He's been the biggest physical threat in the game so far. He nearly won the immunity challenge in episode 11, but Rachel LaMont just beat him to the finish line, literally.
Kyle was always going to be a target this late in the game. He basically needed to win the immunity challenge to ensure that he was not voted out, but that didn't happen. It was not a unanimous vote, either. It was a pretty random split, but ultimately, enough players voted for Kyle.
Kyle becomes the fourth member of the jury.
Caroline Vidmar
Voted out: 12th (Fifth member of the jury)
Caroline Vidmar was one of the favorites, for me, to make it all the way to the end in Survivor 47. And, she might have if not for some incredible gameplay from Andy Rueda, Genevieve Mushaluk, and Sam Phalen and Operation: Italy. Basically, the trio convinced the rest of the group that Genevieve had an idol, so they needed to split the vote between Sam and Genevieve. Then, Andy flipped at the last second, and Caroline was voted out in a classic 3-2-2 split. Wow.
Caroline became the fifth member of the jury in episode 12!
Andy Rueda
Voted out: 13th (Sixth member of the jury)
Andy Rueda ran out of moves in Survivor 47 after an epic blindside of Caroline. In part one of the Survivor 47 finale, Andy and the rest of the tribe admitted Rachel LaMont was the biggest threat in the game and targeted her at tribal council. The kicker was that Rachel played an immunity idol.
Rachel received all but two of the six votes, but that was enough for her and Sue to tagteam sending Andy to the jury.
Andy became the sixth member of the jury.
Genevieve Mushaluk
Voted out: 14th
Genevieve almost made it to the end! She was playing such a great game, but she was too big of a threat for Rachel and the rest of the tribe to keep around after voting out Andy in Part One of the Survivor 47 finale.
In the episode, Rachel won immunity, saving her from getting voted out. Unfortunately, it moved the target from Rachel to Genevieve or Sam, but it was still a 3-2 vote with Genevieve receiving three votes and Sam receiving two votes.
Genevieve became the seventh member of the jury.
Teeny Chirichillo
Eliminated: 15th (Eighth and final member of the jury)
Teeny made it all the way to the Final Four. After Rachel won the immunity challenge in the season finale, she chose Teeny and Sam Phalen to make fire for the final spot in the Final Three. Teeny had a clear lead early, but she couldn't finish the job. Sam finally got his fire going, and it burnt through the rope before Teeny's. Legend has it, Teeny's rope is still there in Fiji, somehow unburned.
Teeny became the eighth and final member of the jury, but she was not voted out.
Sam Phalen, Sue Smey, and Rachel LaMont made the Final Three in Survivor 47
Accordingly, Sam, Sue and Rachel made the Final Three and pitched their case for the title of Sole Survivor and $1 million prize. Honestly, all three made great cases for why they should win. The vote came down to Sam and Rachel, though.
The Gata members went back and forth throughout the Tribal Council one-upping each other, but Rachel made the best case in the end, even though Sam did a lot better and played a better game than most people thought.
Rachel LaMont wins Survivor 47
After a 7-1-0 vote, Rachel was crowned the winner of Survivor 47!
It was a brilliant season for Rachel. Despite all of the challenges she faced, she always found a way to overcome whether it be a great idol play, an advantage, or an immunity win. She walked away tied for the women's record for individual immunity challenge wins in a season.
Of the eight jury members, only Kyle Ostwald voted for Rachel. Kyle cast his vote for Sam Phalen.
That's all for Survivor 47! We'll see you all next year when Survivor 48 premieres on CBS!
