Survivor 48 premiere date announced (and it's exactly when we thought it would be)

The gap between Survivor 47 finale and Survivor 48 premiere won't be too long!

We have some great news forSurvivorfans! Earlier this month,CBSannounced theSurvivor 48premiere date. Fans don't have to wait too long from theSurvivor 47finaleto theSurvivor 48premiere!

Survivor 48premieres onWednesday, Feb. 26, 2025.Just like every premiere of thenew eraofSurvivor,the season premiere is a two-hour episode. New episodes will be released on CBS throughout the spring every Wednesday night.

This is basically when we thought theSurvivor 48season premiere would be! We've seen past midseason premieres for new seasons ofSurvivorin February.Survivor 46also premiered on the last Wednesday of February this year, so it only makes sense thatSurvivor 48would premiere on the last Wednesday of February next year!

It also means that the gap betweenSurvivor 47andSurvivor 48will be about two months! CBS just announced theSurvivor 47two-part finale will air on Wednesday, Dec. 11, and Wednesday, Dec. 18.

So, January 2025 will be the only month without a new episode ofSurvivorfrom September 2024-May 2025! That's pretty awesome for the fans!

Most fans know, but it's worth mentioning thatSurvivor 48was already filmed in the summer of 2024. Rumor has it that production took place sometime in June and July 2024, but that has not been confirmed.

Of course, it also means that theSurvivor 48cast is out there! There are many rumors about the cast, including the identities of many of the 18 new players. We're not going to share those names until they are announced by CBS for many reasons, including the privacy of the cast and avoiding potential spoilers. We know that there are no returning players inSurvivor 48(andSurvivor 49,too!). The earliest we'll see returning players will be inSurvivor 50,which films in 2025 right afterSurvivor 48ends on CBS. Jeff Probst has alreadyrevealed that theSurvivor 50playerswill be returning players.

We should learn a lot more aboutSurvivor 48soon! Again,Survivor 47comes to an end on Dec. 18. Usually, we get a little bit of a sneak peek at the new season, but it probably will not include an extended look at the season or the cast announcement.Survivorusually saves that for the few weeks leading up to the new season. TheSurvivor 47cast was announced the week before the new season premiered in September 2024.

We'll share more big news aboutSurvivor 48as we learn more! We still have five episodes ofSurvivor 47left, at the time of publishing, with the two-part finale dropping in December on CBS and Paramount+.
