Survivor 47 continues to surprise in that the most obvious people continue to avoid being voted out. None of the first four players voted out had obvious targets on them at the beginning of the show.
During episode 4, Kishan Patel took his shot at the current king of the island, Rome Cooney, and missed. Without support from ally Teeny Chirichillo, who lost her vote on a journey, Kishan became vulnerable. With Sol Yi firmly onboard, Kishan thought he could swing enough votes to take out Rome despite his steal-a-vote advantage.
Neither Kishan nor the audience accounted for Genevieve Mushaluk and how much she valued her alliance with Rome. So far in season 47, Genevieve has been a non-factor, barely drawing notice, with little air time and few confessionals. She moved to the forefront in episode four.
During the episode 5 preview, Jeff Probst announced a brand new twist, but the audience has no clue what it might be. To speculate a bit, it could be shuffling the tribes into two seven-player groups. Or, it could be something completely different. With Survivor, we never know.
If the twist doesn't shake up the tribes too much, there are some players who will be in danger and some who should be safe in episode 5
