It's time to merge in Survivor 46! The Nami, Yanu, and Siga tribes will become one in the sixth episode of the season. It's been a tough 12 days for the Yanu tribe, who lost three of its original members, but the merge is a new lease on life for Q, Tiffany, and Kenzie.

It's not just new for those three players. Everyone has a chance to make it to the end of the game and become the Sole Survivor of season 46 if they play their cards, idols, advantages, and votes right. Some players are set up to win season 46 more than some of the other players who are in danger of getting voted out, but it's truly anyone's game.

We shared release date, time, and length of tonight's episode, along with a breakdown of the episode 6 preview, sneak peek, and what we expect heading into the merge.

Episode 6 date, time, and length

Survivor 46, episode 6 is titled "Cancel Christmas," and it airs on CBS on Wednesday, April 3, at 8 p.m. ET. Tonight's new episode will be 90 minutes, just like the third, fourth, and fifth episodes of the season. The rest of the season, aside from the season finale, will also be 90-minute episodes.

Survivor pivoted to 90-minute episodes during the writers' and actors' strikes of 2023. The first two episodes of season 46 were 120-minute episodes.

I'm such a huge fan of the longer episodes in the new era of Survivor. There's so much going on with the more compact gameplay, and it's great to spend that much more time watching these great castaways play the game.

The merge sends Survivor 46 into chaos in new episode preview

The merge is finally here! It's revealed in the "Next Time on Survivor" preview for episode 6 that the Yanu, Nami, and Siga tribes are merging. For the first part of the preview, we see the tribes heading to their new island home, but then it quickly cuts back to the game.

Q reveals that there are "cracks all around the island," referring to the cracks in the alliances of the Siga and Nami tribe. Q, Tiffany, and Kenzie are likely on the bottom justed based on the fact that they have fewer votes at tribal council.

I believe it's Hunter who then reveals that there's a big mess for the Nami tribe. He says, "Liz hates Soda. It's a mess."

Then, Q shares with Tiffany that Venus is saying all kinds of stuff. We don't know exactly what he's referring to, but Venus is on the bottom of her Nami alliance, so it looks like she's going be at the center of the episode.

In TV Line's exclusive sneak peek at episode 6, we see the other castaways commenting on Venus's game. She approaches Moriah with an offer to exchange information about the cracks in each tribe and alliance. Moriah shares that information with Charlie.

We also get to see Moriah and Charlie discussing Venus as a player and how she's playing really aggressively at the merge. It's interesting that Venus is coming out so strong, but after not meshing with the Nami tribe, Venus clearly feels the need to try to build alliances and further her game.

It's going to be really interesting to see how it all shakes out in episode 6! There are only 14 days of the game left.

Watch Survivor 46, episode 6 on CBS and Paramount+ at 8 p.m. ET on Wednesday, April 3, 2024! We'll have coverage of who's voted out after the episode.
