Survivor 47 is starting to heat up after the first two episodes of the season. So far, we've already seen one blindside, two dramatic post-immunity challenge moments, and three hidden immunity idols found. And, there are still 10 episodes left before the finale!

Heading into Survivor 47 episode 3, "Belly of the Beast," the Gata tribe and Tuku tribe are down a player after Jon Lovett was eliminated in the season premiere, "One Glorious, Perfect Episode," followed by TK Foster's exit in the second episode, "Epic Boss Girl Move."

Survivor 47 episode 3 preview suggests 'There's trouble in paradise'

Nothing about Survivor 47 so far has suggested this season is going to be paradise. Every episode has been anxiety-inducing, so I can only imagine what it's like to be these players with so many predictably unpredictable players running around causing chaos.

The new preview, which you can watch here, for Survivor 47 episode 3 suggests that there's more chaos to come. And, it's still involving the Gata tribe. Who would have guessed that would happened when they took out Jon Lovett and kept Andy Rueda at the first tribal council? No one could have seen this coming.

In the new preview, we go back to Gata camp. Everyone's sitting around the shelter and Anika Dhar asks a question that's definitely going to have lasting implications in the game.

So, for starters, are you two dating?" Anika asks Sam Phalen and Sierra Wright.

Is it a fair question? Definitely not, but they are rather close. Anika probably knows she's about to blow this game up. No one wants to compete against a power couple on Survivor. Even asking that question about dating puts the target on those two players. It's a harsh move, though, coming from someone who was and maybe still is in an alliance with Sam and Sierra.

"There's trouble in paradise here at Gata," Andy says in a voiceover. Uh-oh!

Then, we get a clip of Sam slicing at something with a machete while Anika watches.

"I'm pissed off," Sam says.

Then, we get a brief preview of the challenge, and it's one of my favorites. It's the one when the players are out in the ocean on the high platform. They have to climb do several obstacles and possibly unlock the balls, which someone on the tribe will shoot into hoops or something similar. That's what it looks like based on the trailer and the images we've seen from the episode.

"I'm running this game right now," Rome says in a confessional. "We might as well rename it 'Survivor: Rome'."

He's going to get voted out so fast, you guys.

That's what we've seen of the third episode so far!

So far, this has been a pretty wild start to the season on Survivor 47. Most of these players are very aware of the image they are projecting, and everything seems fine. When adversity hits, it's pretty clear that these players are struggling with some basic aspects of the game, which is concerning given how many more days they have left.

I think the cracks on the Gata tribe are really starting to show. That's what the teaser suggests anyway. Remember, in the second episode, Sam revealed that he actually wants to keep Andy around. Well, that goes pretty much against everything Sam, Sierra, Rachel, and Anika agreed upon in their alliance. If that gets back to Rachel or Anika, I don't think that's going to go over well for Sam.

That's possibly what happened looking at the preview.

I feel like that dysfunction is going to start creeping into the challenges, for sure. Tuke, despite struggling in a few challenges, seems like they have a pretty good group now. I'm expecting them to come together a bit in TK's absence. And, other than Rome, the Lavo tribe seems to be quite united, as well.

We're only a few episodes into the season, but we're pretty close to the pre-merge, too. It will be really interesting to see what happens in the challenges and what happens strategically over the next few episodes. It will likely set the stage for the rest of the game.
