Which Survivor 50 player was just shouted out as “the best of all time?”

It’s a fight to the finish as we enter the one week countdown to the Survivor 50 finale with only one pre-new era player remaining after another double elimination episode.

Episode 12 of Survivor 50 once again had fans at home on the edge of their seats. After the early episode elimination of Rick Devens, a second Tribal Council came into play that pitted two iconic women against each other—Aubry Bracco and Cirie Fields.

Aubry spent most of the latter half of the episode trying to put together the numbers to blindside Cirie while Cirie in turn spent it spreading rumors to her allies that they can’t trust anything Aubry says or does. As we entered a Tribal Council that was clearly pitting the two remaining pre-new era players against each other, the tension was high. Would it be Aubry or Cirie?

And as both women entered the voting booth, they had nothing but uplifting words to share with each other. Aubry, clearly emotional, called Cirie the “best Survivor player of all time” after writing her name down. “You’re better than Sandra [Diaz-Twine], you’re better than Tony [Vlachos] and I am so honored to call you a friend.”

In similar spirits, Cirie—having written Aubry’s name down, too—spoke directly to Aubry through the camera, saying, “The next time we meet in a jungle or on an island, hopefully we’re, like, on vacation. We can’t keep meeting this way. I love you.” The sweet sentiment immediately had me hoping we get some pics of the two on vacation together after the finale airs next week.

But just as Aubry was able to secure protection in Survivor: Game Changers in order to be immune the night Cirie went home after receiving zero votes, she was able to socialize her way to the right side of the numbers tonight as well, sending Cirie to the jury in a 4-2 vote.

And now that Aubry is the last non-new era player remaining, it’s clearly her game to lose. As she’s preached for the last few episodes, if she can make it to the end with the right people by her side—likely Joe Hunter and Jonathan Young, though she threw out Rizo Velovic’s name as well—she can finally take home the win her four-time gameplay deserves.

I’ve personally been rooting for Aubry to win since the cast was announced nearly a year ago. But has she done enough to make it to the end of next week’s finale of Survivor 50? We’ll find out soon (though not soon enough!) when the live finale airs Wednesday, May 20 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS and Paramount+!
