We wondered in the past if Survivor 47 would take a quick break in the middle of the season in case there was political coverage for the 2024 US Presidential Election, but it appears the new episode of Survivor 47 will air on CBS without interruption.

As always, there's a three-hour delay for viewers on the West Coast. Survivor 47 episode 8 airs at 8 p.m. PT. If you watch the series on Paramount+ with the plan that does not include Showtime, you must wait until the morning of Thursday, Nov. 7, to watch the new episode.

So far, we've seen one teaser trailer and one clip from Survivor 47 episode 8, and it looks like this episode is going to be a good one!

In the Survivor 47 episode 8 preview, it's clear that the Survivor auction is back for season 47! The players will be bartering with Jeff Probst and their fellow players for food, items from home, and likely an advantage or two!

In the preview, we also see the stakes getting raised in the game.

"Let's just knock out Tuku," Sierra Wright tells someone. Then, Sam Phalen follows that up with this quote: War is absolutely coming."

"We're gladiators ready to brawl in the arena," Kyle says.

Then, we get to Andy! Andy is making plans with Caroline Vidmar after Sam bailed on their alliance when all of the tribes came together before the vote to eliminate Rome Cooney. So far, we've seen Andy talk to Genevieve Mushaluk, Sol, and now Caroline. He's planning something, but I am very worried it's not going to work out in Andy's favor.

In the episode 8 sneak peek, Sol chats with Rachel by the fire. He also shares his reasoning behind giving the advantage to Rachel, which includes feeling like there's a genuine connection that Sol wants to use to further himself in the game.

"I gave the advantage to Rachel because I felt she was in jeopardy, in big, big trouble, at tribal council, but also, genuinely, there is a connection there," Sol said. "And, I'm working on building the SSAs, Sol's Secret Agents."

It sure seems like Sol has a big plan for the remainder of the game! The only question is will it work, or is Sol next to go home?

So, we know a few big things are happening! We know there's going to be an auction, which is always a great semi-break in the game for the players to get some food, try to gain an advantage, and hear from their loved ones back home. I feel like this is perfectly timed, too. This is the beginning of the end of Survivor 47.

I'm expecting a huge move in this episode that will reshape the game. Right now, there are 11 players left, including four members from the former Tuku and Gata tribes each and then the three former Lavo players. Whoever comes out on the right side of this vote should be in the majority with only five more votes to go before the finale.

I don't see the Tuku or Gata tribe staying strong. There are people in those groups who know they are on the outside, including Andy Rueda, Rachel LaMont, and Kyle Ostwald. I do think that the Lavo trio of Sol, Genevieve, and Teeny Chirichillo do seem to be pretty solid. If they can pull Andy, Rachel, and Kyle into a six-person alliance, that could be all the difference in to start picking off the strong Tuku alliance of Gabe Ortis, Sue Smey, and Caroline, along with the great partnership between Sam and Sierra.

But, the game is usually not that simple, right? Like, it makes sense to say, "oh, the players should target Tuku because they have the tightest alliance," but that's really not true. I think that Gabe, Sue, and Caroline are the closest three-person alliance, but after that, it's basically pairs and singles. The next big move is going to create a seismic shift in the game. Either those bigger alliances are going to pull in other votes, or they're going to be targeted. We've officially reached that stage of the game.

I'm also worried about Andy and Kyle. Andy might be starting to play a little too hard with too many people after Sam's betrayal, and that could work against his low-profile game. On the flip side, Kyle has been the best player, overall, in challenges so far in the individual game. He could definitely be targeted.
