Part one of the Survivor 47 finale airs on Wednesday, Dec. 11. Thanks to CBS, we already know that two players will be voted out in the first half of the finale, which means that part two of the Survivor 47 finale will start with the Final Four.
We're going to find out very soon who those four players competing for $1 million will be. I've watched every episode this season, and I'm excited to predict who will make the Final Four in Survivor 47.
Let's get the list started with the most likely player to make the Final Four.
Sue Smey
Of the six players left, Sue Smey should have the best chance to make the Final Four. She has a hidden immunity idol. Yes, there are multiple people who know about it, but she is not in any danger of getting voted out. She is not a threat, really, to win the game, although she could win if she makes the Final Three with the right combination of players.
Given that she has an idol, she should make it through one of the votes, automatically, and she could easily win immunity to save herself again.
I have to think Sue is as close to a lock for the Final Four as there is in the game right now.
Rachel LaMont
Rachel LaMont also has incredible odds to make the Final Four. She is the biggest target in the game, which means Andy Rueda, Sam Phalen, and Genevieve Mushaluk will be trying to take her out before it's completely out of their hands when she makes the Final Four. Rachel has an advantage (I believe!) and she has a hidden immunity idol. With those two in play, Rachel should be able to swing the votes in her favor to make the Final Four.
Rachel has also won the most immunity challenges of the players left in the game. If she can win a challenge to add to her advantages, she should win this game. She's the clear favorite to win Survivor 47 heading into the two-part finale.
It makes a lot of sense for Rachel to target Andy and Genevieve since they are the two biggest threats to beat her at Final Tribal.
Teeny Chirichillo
Teeny Chirichillo is another player with a great chance to make the Final Four. And, that's because of where Teeny stands in the game, along with her alliance. Right now, Teeny is allied with Rachel and Sue and seems fine working with them to make it to the end of the game. There is some level of animosity for Andy and Genevieve from Teeny's side, so I don't see a reality where Teeny flips to work with those players again.
Along with that, Teeny is one of the players who doesn't have much of a resume right now. There's no doubt that the other players want to sit next to Teeny at the end, and they probably will if things go how I expect they will.
Teeny should be in the Final Four along with Rachel and Sue, but who will be the other player?
Sam Phalen
I have to give Sam Phalen the best chance of the remaining players (Andy and Genevieve) to make the Final Four. The trio just pulled off one of the biggest moves of the game in Operation: Italy to vote out Caroline Vidmar, but that was largely Andy's move. Sam has played a good game so far, but he's been on the bottom since his ally Sierra Wright was voted out. Now, if Sam wants to win, he needs to make moves, and that means leaving Andy and Genevieve behind.
The smart move for Sam is to unite with Rachel, his former Gata tribemate, to take out the biggest threats in the game. Then, Sam has to hope that he can beat Rachel in the fire-making challenge to make the Final Three with Sue and Teeny. That's his best-case scenario, but Rachel has an idol. Andy and Genevieve would likely beat Sam. If he recognizes that now, he'll realize his best chance is to help Rachel, Sue, and Teeny vote them out and take a chance to beat Rachel.
How likely is that? Probably not very, especially Rachel has kept her idol secret, but one of Sam, Genevieve, and Andy should be voted out in the first vote of part one of the Survivor 47 finale.
