Survivor 47 episode 10 saw the departure of one of the biggest threats left in the game. Genevieve Mushaluk and Gabe Ortis were the threats tagged for departure, and the tribe chose to send the latter to the jury.

There was a slight shift in power from the Tuku 4 to the Lavo and Gata leftovers, and Caroline Vidmar saw the writing on the wall for Tuku and made her move away from the alliance that had been fairly strong since the very beginning.

Gabe was certainly one of the stronger players remaining, even in his own opinion, as he made clear as he left tribal council. It was a smart move to pull the lynchpin that held Tuku together for so long.

8. Kyle Ostwald

Loyal to the Soil

Kyle Ostwald still has to be considered one of the biggest threats. He hasn't played a solid strategic game to this point, but he has been a force in challenges, winning four individual immunity idols. Sue Smey's opinion is notwithstanding; he seems strong socially, too.

If he doesn't win immunity, he just about has to be the next one to go. He can't be allowed to survive to the final three, where he could earn a lot of jury votes because of how he's played to game. He's only been vulnerable once, and Genevieve pushed to have Sol voted out. It can't be allowed to happen again.

7. Genevieve Mushaluk

Genevieve pushed a petty, personal vendetta in the previous vote to oust Sol Yi, and it almost cost her. She burned her ally Teeny Chirichillo for the second time with the Sol vote, and Teeny is wary of working with her anymore unless it is to Teeny's advantage.

It was a tough decision for the tribe on whether to take out Gabe or Genevieve with the last vote, but it turned out to be decisive. Only Gabe and Sue voted for Genevieve, but if Kyle wins another immunity, she will have some serious scrambling to do to last through another tribal council.
