Survivor 47 winner predictions: Who will each jury member vote for?

There's defnitely a heavy favorite heading into the Survivor 47 finale!

“Bob and Weave” – It’s double the immunity challenges and double the tribal councils in part one of the two-part season 47 finale. Castaways must do damage control after Operation Italy’s success. Then, one castaway tries spying to get some key information to further their game, on SURVIVOR, Wednesday, Dec. 11 (8:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and available to stream on Paramount+ (live and on-demand for Paramount+ with SHOWTIME subscribers, or on-demand for Paramount+

We're only days away from part two of the Survivor 47 finale, and finally, we're going to hear from the jury. I can't wait to see these cast members debate the game with The Final Three, whomever that may be.

Heading into the final episode of the season, we're at the Final Four, so we still have one more challenge before we know who the jury will be casting their votes for at Final Tribal.

This is our last opportunity to analyze the jury and make some predictions about who we think they will vote for to win Survivor 47. For this exercise, we highlighted each jury member and shared who we think they will vote to be the Survivor 47 winner.

There are four possible options: Rachel LaMont, Sam Phalen, Sue Smey, and Teeny Chirichillo. One of those players will lose the fire-making challenge and not make The Final Three.

Let's get the list started with the first member of the jury, Sierra Wright.

Sierra Wright

Nightmare Fuel
“Nightmare Fuel” – Castaways must choose wisely as they split themselves into pairs at a crucial multi-staged immunity challenge. The deck is stacked against castaways when they embark on a journey that can drastically affect their game. Then, different names are tossed out at camp as paranoia ensues, leading to another crazy tribal council, on SURVIVOR, Wednesday, Nov. 13 (8:00-9:30 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and streaming on Paramount+ (live and on-demand for Paramount+ with
  • Who Sierra will likely vote for: Sam Phalen
  • Backup option: Rachel LaMont

Despite starting the game with an alliance with Sam and Rachel on the Gata tribe, Sierra's vote will be going to Sam if he makes it to The Final Three. Sam was her top ally in the game. He was not part of the great split-vote blindside to vote her out, and there's no way that she's not going to vote for him.

Accordingly, if Sam loses the fire-making challenge, Sierra probably will vote for Rachel. They seemed close enough throughout the game. Sierra should have some level of respect for Rachel's impressive gameplay down the stretch. It should be noted that Rachel was not part of the plan to vote out Sierra, though, so that might count for something in the end, too.

Sol Yi

  • Who Sol will likely vote for: Rachel LaMont
  • Backup option: Sam Phalen

Sol already saved Rachel once in Survivor 47 by gifting her the Safety Without Power advantage. Could he also be the deciding vote in her winning $1 million? I think so. Clearly, the pair had a strong bond. Had Sol not been becoming such a great social threat in the game, there was a path for Rachel and Sol to work together. Unfortunately, Genevieve went after Sol, and that was that.

Sol should vote for Rachel if she's make it to The Final Three, but he also seemed to like Sam, too. He also had a hand in voting Sol out, but Sam seems like the next best option for Sol's vote should Rachel lose the fire-making challenge.

Kyle Ostwald

Operation: Italy
“Operation: Italy” – Castaways get the biggest reward of the season with surprise letters from home. Then, balance and dexterity are tested at a crucial immunity challenge to guarantee a spot in the final six, on SURVIVOR, Wednesday, December 4 (8:00-9:30 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and available to stream on Paramount+*. • Who Kyle will likely vote for: Sam Phalen
  • Backup option: Rachel LaMont

I have literally no idea who Kyle is going to vote for at Final Tribal. My gut is telling me that he would vote for Rachel. Honestly, as I have mentioned, I don't know how any juror could watch her performance in the last few immunity challenges and Tribal Councils and vote against her. But, there's also part of me that wonders if Sam could steal Kyle's vote.

Although they weren't really allies much of the time on the island, it seemed like they were at least friendly. That can go a long way. And, it's not like Sam played a bad game at all. If Rachel gets bounced in the fire-making challenge, especially if it's at Sam's hand, there's definitely a case for Sam to win.

Gabe Ortis

Loyal to the Soil
“Loyal to the Soil” – In a SURVIVOR first, castaways attempt a shocking negotiation for rice. Then, teams must have their head in the game during a tough reward challenge, on SURVIVOR, Wednesday, Nov. 20 (8:00-9:30 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and streaming on Paramount+ (live and on-demand for Paramount+ with SHOWTIME subscribers, or on-demand for Paramount+ Essential subscribers the day after the special airs)*. • Who Gabe will likely vote for: Rachel LaMont
  • Backup option: Sue Smey

Gabe is a tough one to predict who he will vote for. Had he been less of a threat or made it one or two more votes, he clearly would have been the favorite to win. Gabe is a fan of the game, and I think he would reward Rachel's accomplishments, even if she might have gotten lucky in a few votes where he didn't.

I could see Gabe throwing a vote for Sue. She was his top ally for the whole season, and she stayed loyal to him when everyone else flipped on him. I don't think Sue played the best game, though, but clearly, she would have more hope in getting a vote from Gabe than Sam or Teeny.

Caroline Vidmar

Operation: Italy

  • Who Caroline will likely vote for: Rachel LaMont
  • Backup option: Sue Smey

In terms of gameplay, Caroline always knew Rachel was the biggest threat in the game. She said it over and over to anyone who would listen, but she could never vote her out. Then, when the numbers dwindled, Rachel and Caroline worked together to make one of the biggest moves of the game in voting out Gabe before Andy flipped and blindsided Caroline.

Caroline will vote for Rachel at the end if she's able. She even cheered when Rachel and Sue teamed up to vote out Andy one episode after her exit. I'll keep mentioning it, but Rachel did play the best game and the brightest strategic minds of the season, like Caroline, will definitely recognize her accomplishment.

If Rachel doesn't make the Final Three, I believe Caroline will vote for her ally, Sue, who was loyal to her for the whole game. They clearly have a very close bond, and I don't think Caroline would blindside her with a vote for Sam at the end of the game.

Andy Rueda

Bob and Weave
“Bob and Weave” – It’s double the immunity challenges and double the tribal councils in part one of the two-part season 47 finale. Castaways must do damage control after Operation Italy’s success. Then, one castaway tries spying to get some key information to further their game, on SURVIVOR, Wednesday, Dec. 11 (8:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and available to stream on Paramount+ (live and on-demand for Paramount+ with SHOWTIME subscribers, or on-demand for Paramount+
  • Who Andy will likely vote for: Rachel LaMont
  • Backup option: Sam Phalen

Andy and Rachel started out fairly close in the game on the Gata tribe, but then Andy lost his composure, and it forced Rachel to distance herself a bit from him. Throughout the game, though, they repeatedly kept crossing paths, working together for a vote and then voting against each other the next. It was so fitting that Andy was voted out after revealing to Rachel just how good of a game he played, which caused Rachel to blindside him after playing her hidden immunity idol in the first half of the finale.

Overall, I think Andy will vote for Rachel to win Survivor 47. I think he's always respected her and her gameplay, especially with how well she played the idol to vote him out. When there's that level of respect, it's hard to imagine a juror not voting for that player, you know?

If Rachel doesn't make the Final Three, I think Andy would vote for his former ally turned enemy turned ally again in Sam.

Genevieve Mushaluk

Bob and Weave
“Bob and Weave” – It’s double the immunity challenges and double the tribal councils in part one of the two-part season 47 finale. Castaways must do damage control after Operation Italy’s success. Then, one castaway tries spying to get some key information to further their game, on SURVIVOR, Wednesday, Dec. 11 (8:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and available to stream on Paramount+ (live and on-demand for Paramount+ with SHOWTIME subscribers, or on-demand for Paramount+
  • Who Genevieve will likely vote for: Rachel LaMont
  • Backup option: Sam Phalen

Genevieve is one of the interesting jurors when analyzing who she will vote to win Survivor 47. She's had a complicated but friendly relationship with Teeny. She quickly identified Rachel as a major threat in the game, but she could never put the pieces together. She also has had a close relationship with Sam through the second half of the game, but he had no problem writing her name down to keep himself in the game.

I think Genevieve played Survivor in a very strategic way. She made some massive moves, and I think she is a player who respects the massive moves that Rachel made compared to the other three players, even though she was much closer to Sam and Teeny in the game than she was to Rachel.

Rachel should get at least five votes, which is enough to win

Based on my predictions, even without knowing who the eighth member of the jury is, Rachel should get five votes, which would be enough to win Survivor 47. Now, all she has to do is make The Final Three, via immunity win, getting picked by another player (Sue is the only one who would choose her), or winning the fire-making challenge. That's actually pretty strong odds!

If all goes how I think it will, Rachel LaMont will be the winner of Survivor 47.

Remember to watch the second part of the Survivor 47 finale on Wednesday, Dec. 18, at 8 p.m. ET on CBS and Paramount+!
