The first look at Survivor 48 episode 3, "Committing to the Bit," is all about idol-hunting. In a new clip shared by CBS, Mary Zheng is on the hunt for a hidden immunity idol in the new episode, which airs on Wednesday, March 12.
It doesn't look like her Vula tribemates are just going to sit back and let Mary find an idol, either. Sai Hughley, Cedrek McFadden, and Justin Pioppi chase Mary all through the jungle around the Vula camp as Mary tries to find the immunity idol. It's good to see the Survivor 48 cast going for it after two relatively tame episodes to start the season!

In the clip, Sai tries to get Cedrek to "babysit" Mary instead of taking a nap. Instead, Sai ends up chasing Mary, as she keeps randomly turning on the jets and hiding while she hunts for the idol. It's hilarious.
"This game is so much fun," Mary said in the clip. "I get to evade people chasing me. I get to play this mind game and be a version of myself that I never am. Like, this is why I came out here. I'm so glad I got to play with Sai because it's just hella fun."
Well, Sai might not feel that way, but she did mention that she respects Mary as a competitor.
"Mary is going to work for this idol, and I have nothing but respect for that," Sai said. "She's a scary player because she is a good player. And, I wouldn't be going after her if I didn't think that was the case."
Rachel LaMont, the Survivor 47 winner who knows a thing or two about finding idols and playing them at important times, called Mary's move on the new episode of the On Fire with Jeff Probst podcast. It's basically three-on-one on the Vula tribe, or so it seems. I don't know if Cedrek and Justin are as loyal to Sai as it seems. Sai had a lot of power with that idol, but after playing it in episode 2, I don't know if they are actually allies or if they were happy to keep the status quo and stay alive in the game in the first two votes.
It's really interesting to see who is absent in this clip for the most part, too. Cedrek and Justin are just sitting back while Mary and Sai run all over the island. Perhaps, that will open the door to Mary and Sai working together.
Oh, and in the other sneak peek at the new episode, Joe Hunter builds a massive bonfire to help lift the spirits of the Lagi tribe. It's a bold strategy, Cotton. We'll see if it pays off!
