Last week's premiere of Survivor 49 showed the Uli tribe moving at a steady starting pace in the game. They're not coming in first, but they have supplies and have had to go to Tribal Council yet, which is keeping them in good spirits at camp without a need to really jump into the any hardcore gameplay quite yet.
But in a brand new sneak peek at episode 2, "Cinema," four of our red castaways are officially coming together, ready to dig in their heels and establish their role in the game—with one in particular feeling like a bit of a stealth alliance leader.
Watch a sneak peek of Survivor 49 episode 2, below.
In the premiere, we saw Savannah Louie and Nate Moore have a short conversation about coming together for a potential Final Four alliance with Shannon Fairweather and Rizo Velovic. And now in the new clip for episode 2, it looks like that alliance is not only official, but prepared to take on the game.
Shannon, who previously displayed a more relaxed and calm vibe when introduced in episode 1, is now proving she's deeper in game mode than anyone expected as she explains why the four players will work well as an alliance: "Emotionally, strategically, socially, we all have different elements."
This group is the kind that no one necessarily expects to align, and they all have unique strengths that, when used together, can easily manipulate others and take down anything blocking their path to the end.
Then, Savannah goes into reporter mode and gives us a little recap of where she's at in the game, referring to herself as the "Island Princess" turned "Warrior Princess."
Though it's a short clip, it's definitely leaning into my theory of Savannah and Shannon being a duo to watch this season. While they're a part of a four, it's clear these two have the strategic and social savvy to really make the game their own and now with Nate and Rizo officially in their corner, I could see the two of them making it to the near end together—until they have to blindside each other, of course.

Regardless of what happens in the game, I don't imagine this foursome will hit any bumps any time soon. Even if they get pulled apart with a tribe swap, they're all social enough that they know how to leverage their vote to whoever in the majority needs it to get them through until they reunite to earn the merge.
But only time will tell and we'll just have to see exactly what's in store for this four when the new episode of Survivor 49 airs this Wednesday, October 1 at 8pm ET on CBS and Paramount +.
