After two players were eliminated in Survivor 49 episode 3, we're headed for the first tribe swap of Survivor 49, and things are about to get very interesting.

The Kele tribe has been completely dominated through the first three immunity challenges of the season. They can't do a puzzle to save their lives, literally. Now, they might not have to!

There are still a lot of questions heading into the tribe swap and whether there will be three tribes still or if they'll be going down to two tribes in the latest episode. We have that and more to talk about, so let's get into it.

What time is Survivor on tonight?

We all know what's about to happen in Survivor 49, but the synopsis doesn't explicit state what is going to happen in the new episode.

Here is the synopsis via CBS:

"An unexpected shakeup shifts the castaways’ game trajectories in an all-new direction. Teammates must rely on one another to succeed in a grueling immunity and reward challenge. Then, a wild goose chase unfolds to reinstate one castaway’s vote after the discovery of a beware advantage, on SURVIVOR..."

That "unexpected shakeup" is, of course, the tribe swap, but there's a lot more going on in this episode. We have a "grueling" challenge, and then we finally have some Beware Advantage drama right before Tribal Council. It's going to be really interesting to see how that plays out, but we'll find out soon enough.

Survivor 49 sneak peek reveals the tribe swap results

In the Next Time on Survivor preview for episode 4, Jeff Probst tells the players, "Drop your buffs," which always signals a tribe swap. In the preview and the sneak peek, we see the new Hina tribe, so we know who actually ends up on that tribe.

The consensus is that we're moving from three tribes to two tribes of seven players. The new Hina tribe appears to include all of the Uli players except and Sage Ahrens-Nichols and Shannon Fairwhether plus Kele's Sophi Balerdi and old Hina's Matt Williams. That's six players, so there should be one more joining that group.

We also know that Steven Ramm, Kristina Mills, and Shannon are on the new Kele tribe, leaving Sophie Segreti, Sage Ahrens-Nichols, Jason Treul, MC Chukwujekwu, and Alex Moore.

In these scenarios, you have the former Uli players with an advantage on the new Hina tribe and the new Kele tribe looks to be full of former Hina players. It looks like we have a pretty split battle happening in Survivor 49, but we know it's going to get a lot more complicated than that soon.

In the sneak peek at the episode, Sophi comforts Nate Moore after he had a dream about his kids, and then we see Nate in an interview talking about how Sophi seems like someone he could work with in the future.

That is a big deal! And, it could be the in that Sophi needs to stick around in the game.

Whatever happens, we know at least one person is getting voted out in episode 4. If it's anyone other than Alex or Sophi, it could totally change the game moving forward.

Watch Survivor 49 episode 4 on Wednesday, Oct. 15, at 8 p.m. ET on CBS and Paramount+.
