Survivor 50just started filming in Fiji! We already know22 of the 24 returningSurvivorplayerscompeting in the 50th season of the hit reality series, but there are still two mystery players fromSurvivor 49who have yet to be announced publicly. Until now.
Well, it's not technically official, but outlets are starting to report who thoseSurvivor 49players. According to a report fromInside Survivor, the two Survivor 49 players who will be playingSurvivor 50are Savannah Louie and Rizo Velovic.
You can see the mystery players on the Survivor 50 casting announcement poster that was shared by CBS, Survivor, and others on social media on Wednesday, May 28, the same day that Jeff Probst revealed most of the Survivor 50 cast.
We don't know anything about these players yet, other than that Rizo calls himself "The Rizgod." I have no idea what it means, but I'm intrigued. We have seen both of these players in theSurvivor 49teaser that aired during theSurvivor 48finale.

Obviously, I understand whySurvivorhasn't officially announced these players yet. First of all, we haven't actually seen theSurvivor 49cast confirmed yet. That won't happen until the end of the summer and a few weeks beforeSurvivor 49premieres in September 2025. We don't know the release date yet.
On top of that, we don't know if Rizo or Savannah will make it very far on their season. We have winners in the mix forSurvivor 50with Kyle Fraser and Dee Valladares, but wouldSurvivorcast theSurvivor 49winner inSurvivor 50?There isn't that big of a gap between seasons, so I have a hard time thinking that they would have some play for the full 26 days and then immediately head back out forSurvivor 50.
Counterpoint, though! I have a hard time imagining that Rizgod and Savannah could make such a big impression to play with these Survivor legends if they don't even make the merge or something like that. It's going to be really interesting to watchSurvivor 49,knowing those two players will be playingSurvivor 50a few short weeks after the events ofSurvivor 49take place.
I don't know how I feel about this, honestly. I know we've seen players play back-to-back seasons of Survivor. SomeSurvivorlegends have done it, including Boston Rob, Rupert Boneham, Russell Hantz, and more. Not all of those players went straight into filming the new season, though, simply because of howSurvivorused to work. Since season 19, they have been filming consecutive seasons in the same location.
I guess my biggest qualm is that they picked these two players over some absoluteSurvivorlegends, includingJerri Manthey, Malcolm Freberg,Jesse Lopez, and more.
We'll see if CBS got it right when we see how it all plays out inSurvivor 49andSurvivor 50.As mentioned, Survivor 49 premieres this fall, but we'll be waiting until February 2026 forSurvivor 50to premiere on CBS.Who will win? I can't wait to find out!
