Last week’s Tribal Council shook up the game in more ways than one. With a simple coin flip, Rick Devens kept himself safe from the imminent vote, put an immunity idol in his pocket, and increased the final prize to $2 million. But all that new power also increases his public threat status, and if our castaways are smart, they’re going to do whatever they can tonight to flush his idol—likely pulling off the blindside of another player while doing so.
While we’re back to our regularly scheduled runtime with episode 11, “Everyone Will Be Shooketh!,” there’s still so much gameplay that will likely be packed into these 90 minutes. And with a title like that—which we know comes from Devens—it seems something big is about to surprise not only the players, but us fans at home, too.
And with only two weeks to go until the Survivor 50 finale, we have 6 players who need to get sent to the jury so our Final Three can emerge. Who will be the next to go?

After the biggest Tribal Council of the season…
As our castaways return to camp, they’re celebrating the $1 million added to the final prize, but also immediately start playing harder. Aubry Bracco approaches Rick Devens about how great the result of the prior vote went for them and she also knows that he’s taken the brunt of the target from her.
But Joe Hunter and Jonathan Young are both complaining to Ozzy Lusth about how they were bashing Stephenie LaGrossa Kendrick at Tribal Council. In a confessional, Jonathan is thankful that Devens threw Stephenie under the bus and not him—a ride he’s going to take until he goes home—but Joe is really upset about the way Devens and Aubry are playing. So much so that even by the next morning, he’s still complaining about how Devens performance was done in “extremely poor taste.”
Devens also opens up the idol to find out it only lasts through the Final 7. He then proceeds to dance around the island with the goofiest grin on his face. He confesses that he’s having the absolute best time of his life playing this season.
And the entire morale of the tribe—except Joe and Jonathan—is up with the additional prize money fueling their game. But Joe wakes up and immediately starts sulking again.
He tells Aubry, Cirie Fields, and anyone who will listen that Devens is ruining the season for him. Cirie goes on to tell him that Devens is just playing the game and shares in a confessional that he’s being a hypocrite. She then turns to Tiffany Ervin and shares her annoyance with her. But Tiffany reminds her that there are bigger targets than Joe, considering Ozzy and Rizo Velovic both have idols as well as Devens.
Cirie has a flash back to Survivor: Game Changers where she was eliminated simply because everyone else was immune. So Cirie is finally considering flushing the idols by tricking her two closest allies into playing them without it being necessary. She tells Ozzy that people are coming for him and he should probably play his idol. Of course, he has his own flashbacks to getting voted out with an idol in his pocket, which he doesn’t want to repeat.
Revisiting letters from home
With the $2 million driving them, our castaways continue to reflect on the letters from home they got to add heart-fuel to their renewed journey. Ozzy turns and opens up to Devens about his relationship with his father who is no longer around. He’s having doubts about things he’s done. Devens tells him that no matter what, his dad’s going to be proud of him.
As a father himself, he assures him that there’s nothing his kids could do to make him not love them. He goes on to tell Ozzy why he chose to be a dad and says that Ozzy himself would be a great dad because of his patience. Ozzy remembers that patience was a gift Survivor gave him and something he’s never played with before.

Treemail evokes discussions (and not all about the challenge)
After guessing which challenge they’re going to get today based on treemail, everyone is around the fire talking about the challenge while Emily Flippen and Devens whisper about wanting something crazy to happen in the game.
Devens shares that he wants to use his idol to eliminate someone big, throwing out Joe and Cirie’s names. Emily completely agrees and is excited that they’re on the same page. They know if Cirie makes it to the Final 3 she’s winning no matter who she’s up against. So now could be the time for them to strike against her.
Rough waters despite good weather in Fiji
Players are brought to a barge in the middle of the ocean where their suspicions of the challenge are confirmed. They have to balance on narrow footholds on a triangular platform in the water. Then host Jeff Probst tells them that not only are they fighting for immunity, they’re also playing for an advantage that will impact the game at Tribal Council (...I think I’ve seen this film before…).
The challenge begins with the widest foothold and Jeff reminds everyone that Jonathan won this challenge back in Survivor 42—though the conditions were very different as the ocean is much calmer today vs. the storm they were in before. Everyone makes it through the first live transition, but Cirie is only able to last a few seconds before she has to grab onto the platform, sending her out of the game.
During the second live transition, Aubry falls out of the challenge and Joe nearly doesn’t make it to the top platform before Jeff counts down. Devens then falls out fairly quickly. The final live transition leads to everyone standing on one foot. Rizo falls out, followed by Ozzy and Joe. Emily then falls with Jonathan immediately after her leaving Tiffany with the immunity win.
But then production flags Jeff and tells him there was an issue with the challenge—announcing there are always five judges watching. They flag that Tiffany’s foot was not up when Jeff counted in which technically made her the first person out of the challenge after the transition. So Jeff instead awards immunity to Jonathan.
Jeff announces the twist which includes randomly dividing the 8 un-immune people into two groups who will be separated on an island before Tribal Council, with each group attending Tribal Council and voting someone out separately. Jonathan, with immunity, will attend both Tribal Councils and has the ability to move between both groups beforehand to be a part of any strategy talks.
Group 1: Tiffany Ervin, Emily Flippen,Cirie Fields, Rick Devens
Group 2: Joe Hunter, Ozzy Lusth, Rizo Velovic, Aubry Bracco

Two camps, too few people for a Final 9 Tribal Council
Jonathan arrives at the first group’s camp and asks who wants to talk to him first—since he’s basically the swing vote. Cirie pulls him aside and easily tells him they need to get out of Devens, but wants to split the vote between him and Emily in case he plays the idol. She also has an extra vote, but doesn’t want to play it yet.
Talking to Tiffany and Devens, Emily fears she’s going home since it seems to ultimately be Jonathan’s decision. She doesn’t want to go home on the same day she was blindsided in Survivor 45. She tells Tiffany, Cirie, and Jonathan that she thinks she can convince Devens to play his idol for her because he wants to make a big move. It seems like she wants to blindside him.
But she tells Devens that they need to convince everyone he’ll play the idol on her which means they have a shot to vote out Cirie. Even if Jonathan, Cirie, and Tiffany split the votes—as long as Cirie doesn’t use her extra vote—they can play the idol on Devens majority and their two votes will get out Cirie.
Tiffany then connects with Jonathan about going to the other tribe and orchestrating a blindside on Ozzy. He agrees wholeheartedly, but Ozzy’s group is majority people aligned with him. Ozzy pulls Aubry aside and tells her that he’s planning on going to the end with Cirie and tells her about the extra vote. He says he wants to go to the end with the best people—explicitly calling out Rizo as someone he doesn’t want at the end.
Aubry understands he’s doing jury management and is trying to get her vote before she even leaves the game. Aubry tells both Rizo and Joe that Ozzy is playing harder than they all thought. Rizo is so annoyed with Ozzy for pulling that and acts dumb to Aubry who is now pushing to blindside Ozzy.
Jonathan and Tiffany tell Cirie they want to blindside Ozzy and Cirie’s trying to figure out how she can tell Ozzy to play his idol without drawing suspicion of them working together. Jonathan moves to the other camp and connects with Aubry about working together. Aubry tells him everything Ozzy told her.
Jonathan tells Joe that Cirie and Tiffany both want to blindside Ozzy and Joe’s finally considering if now is the time to make a move. He still doesn’t know. He doesn’t understand that they only need Jonathan, Joe and Aubry’s vote to get Ozzy out. Joe doesn’t want to leave Rizo out of the vote, though. So Jonathan asks Cirie if he needs to loop in Rizo and she says he should so that Rizo can tell Ozzy to play his idol.
Jonathan tells Joe that if he wants to loop in Rizo, Joe needs to do it. Before Joe even says anything, Rizo immediately tells Joe that Ozzy’s blowing up the game and he’s considering going with the Ozzy plan. He’s debating whether to save Ozzy in order to keep Cirie’s loyalty, or if it’s time for Ozzy to go now that he’s sharing all the information of their game.
Back at the other camp, Emily tells Cirie that Devens will play his idol for her, but she’s unsure whether she needs to vote for Emily or Devens in order to flush the idol. She says if she gets a feeling, she’s going to play her extra vote.

Who was voted out of Survivor 50 episode 11?
Emily, Cirie, Tiffany, Devens, and Jonathan arrive at Tribal Council first. Emily declares that she’s nervous about the vote, but she’s done everything she can do to try and stay. Cirie is listening intently trying to figure out if she should play her extra vote or not. Devens declares that he’s using the immunity tonight for sure—and he chooses to play it for himself.
But Cirie played her extra vote resulting in a 2-2-2 resolution, with the revote leading to everyone voting for either Emily or Cirie. Despite giving it her best shot, the first group eliminated Emily Flippen, making her the 16th eliminated player and the 6th member of the jury. She moves over to the jury bench and watches as the second group comes in to join Jonathan.
Rizo looks at the vote like a double Final 5 Tribal Council. It’s a powerful point in the game and he has to trust his gut and trust that he’s made the right allies. Ozzy agrees with him and notes that he’s had to be a different player this time around. Aubrey also notes that she’s had a huge evolution leading to Survivor 50. Ozzy does not play his idol when Jeff asks.
The second group sends Ozzy home with an idol in his pocket, once again. Rizo tells him he said too much and he’s sorry, but it had to be done. Ozzy dejectedly becomes the 17th player voted out and the 7th member of the jury as he gives an exit speech about how much it hurts getting his torch snuffed after he trusted everyone.
Next Time on Survivor…
Now down to the Final 7 players, there’s only one idol left in the game, but is Rizo the player who people should be targeting? Devens tried to make a move on Cirie tonight, but with the full power of the rest of the players still in the game, will he have a better shot? We’ll find out who goes next—and if it’s an epic blindside like we love to see—in the penultimate episode on Wednesday, May 13 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS and Paramount+.
