Last week’s episode brought more than just a side dish of chaos to Survivor 50. It gave us the whole dang meal as the Survivor auction returned and introduced the MrBeast Super Beware Advantage that completely flipped the game on its head. We got one of the messiest Tribal Councils of the season as well as one of the most eventful and exciting. But was it the right time for our 15th eliminated castaway to exit the game?

Spoilers for Survivor 50 episode 10, “A Side Dish of Chaos,” ahead.

After 19 days in the game—and an intense twist that may have changed the vote in the end—our players came together and unanimously voted out Stephenie LaGrossa Kendrick, making her the 5th member of the jury.

Stephenie started the game strong on the early Vatu tribe, winning every immunity challenge thrown their way. She became a part of their majority alliance, leaving Aubry Bracco on the outs, and keeping Stephenie in a guaranteed safe position with extensive knowledge of Survivor 50’s early mechanics, like the introduction of the Billie Eilish Boomerang Idol

But a tribe swap changed things up quickly. While she was still on the Vatu tribe, it was flooded with prior Cila members who brought their losing streak with them. However, while she seemed to be the odd player out, she became a key number for the group, helping Christian Hubicki blindside his two former Survivor: David vs. Goliath cast members Mike White and Angelina Keeley.

By the time the merge hit, she’d become a part of the new Vatu alliance as well as the old one. But then a surprise triple elimination removed her two closest allies Genevieve Mushaluk and Colby Donaldson. Her luck flipped slightly the next episode, though, when she was selected to go on a journey and earned herself a steal-a-vote in the game. This helped her seal a new bond with Cirie Fields who easily knew Stephenie was lying about not getting anything when she returned to camp.

When the tribe unanimously made Dee Valladares the first member of the jury, it seemed like Stephenie’s alliance was at the top of the game with a clear path to victory. But then another multi-elimination twist led to the dismissal of Coach Wade and Chrissy Hofbeck, the leaders of the “honesty and integrity” alliance Stephenie had become a part of. This pushed her back to the bottom alongside Jonathan Young and Joe Hunter.

Luckily her connection with Cirie, and Christian’s desire to target Ozzy Lusth, kept her and her allies safe through the next vote. But Christian’s elimination lit a fire in his ally Rick Devens who, now at the bottom, had nothing to lose and went full chaos mode. At the episode 10 Tribal Council, Devens spilled all the tea and said Jonathan and Stephenie were targeting Ozzy, publicly alerting Cirie to the betrayal.

And when Devens chose to flip the MrBeast Super Beware Advantage coin, earning himself immunity and an idol, his earlier confession put a huge target on Stephenie’s back and ultimately ended with the entire tribe voting for her, even after she stole Deven’s vote and put two votes on Aubry. She became the 15th player voted out and the 5th member of the jury.

If Stephenie had gone home any other way, Jonathan would be most likely to earn her jury vote at the end. But since he threw her under the Ozzy bus and wrote her name down so he wouldn’t be on the outside of her elimination vote, I doubt she’ll have much respect for his game. Even though Cirie was the one who burned her, she did it strategically to eliminate a threat to her game, not submissively to blend back in to the group. If Cirie makes it to the end, I predict Stephenie is most likely to vote for her to win the $1 million and title of Sole Survivor.
