Survivor 50 continues with episode 2, titled "Therapy Carousel," on Wednesday, March 4, at 8 p.m. ET on CBS and Paramount+. After the three-hour season premiere, we're going to narrow the list of players eligible to win Survivor 50 to 20 or 21 players, depending on how many players are voted out in episode 2.

At the end of the season premiere, we said goodbye to two incredible Survivor legends, including Jenna Lewis-Dougherty, who was the only player to compete in the first season of the series. After the Cila tribe lost the immunity challenge, Jenna was voted out unanimously. Shortly after, Kyle Fraser was pulled from the game by Dr. Joe and Jeff Probst after he tore his Achilles tendon during the season's first immunity challenges.

Survivor 50 episode 2 begins immediately after Kyle's departure

The second episode of the season begins at the Vatu beach after Kyle was pulled from the game. All of the players are taking it hard, but Genevieve Mushaluk, who we saw in the episode 2 sneak peek, is particularly emotional about Kyle’s exit. They were in an alliance, so it’s understandable, but on a human level, you can understand Genevieve’s sadness for Kyle. It’s hard to get your head back in the game when you see someone get injured like that.

Genevieve wasn’t the only player. Q Burdette, Colby Donaldson, and Rizo Velovic are also quite upset, but they have to figure out how to proceed with two players in their alliance not having a vote.

Over at the Cila beach, they’re making do after losing challenges, but they are also making doo-doo.

Christian Hubicki accidentally poops his pants while tending to the fire. It's hilarious and horrifying. I feel so bad for the poor guy, but that's the most interesting thing that happens in the first few moments of the season.

Ozzy and Coach go at it before the reward challenge begins

When the tribes arrive at the challenge, Jeff announces to the players that Kyle was pulled from the game over his Achilles tendon injury. Kamilla Karthigesu gets emotional. That makes sense given how close those two players were.

Ozzy Lusth also gets choked up talking about what it takes to play this game. He also mentions how he thought for a moment that he wasn’t going to make it out of the first challenge. Coach interrupts him to explain that his reputation has been tarnished by Ozzy.

Then, Coach explains that he did, in fact, steal the key, but he’s playing the game as he has always played. Ozzy gets the last laugh when he claps back and tells everyone that Coach is playing the disloyal game that he played the last time they played together way back in Survivor: South Pacific. During that season, Coach betrayed Ozzy right before Final Tribal Council after promising to take him to the end.

Cila and Kalo win the reward challenge

In the reward challenge, the players have to compete in an ocean obstacle course that includes breaking a key free, a balance beam, a ring toss, and more. It’s wild!

After losing the immunity challenge in the first episode, the Cila tribe wins reward. The Kalo tribe finishes second after Coach nails the ring toss. Vatu, after Aubry Bracco missed the key on her jump, made a big comeback, but they were unable to win reward.

The Vatu tribe searches Aubry’s bag for a hidden immunity idol

After returning from the reward challenge, Genevieve thinks that Aubry is being weird about her bag, which makes her think that Aubry has found a hidden immunity idol or was gifted a boomerang idol.

When Aubry is away from camp, they search her bag, but they don’t find anything. She doesn’t have an idol.

I’m not above a bag search on Survivor, but it’s just kind of funny that they gathered the troops on a fruitless mission. It’s very bold of Genevieve, too. Rather than trying to find out from Aubry about the potential idol, she shows just how far she’s willing to go to win this game.

Christian finds the Billie Eilish boomerang idol and gives it to Aubry

At Cila camp, Joe questions Rick about why he’s being weird, which sets everyone who isn’t in his alliance off a little bit. Christian suggests that they need someone watching Joe to make sure that he doesn’t get too into their business. As he’s walking through the jungle, he finds the Billie Eilish boomerang idol, which he must give to another player in the game. He gets the idol back if that player doesn’t use it and gets voted out.

Christian, somehow, picks Aubry to receive the idol!

This is so funny! Aubry gets an idol AFTER HER TRIBE SEARCHED HER BAG FOR IT!

When Aubry gets the idol, she breaks down initially, overcome with emotion. Then, she decides to use this to really get her game going. She gets the second wind she needs to win this game.

Vatu and Kalo win immunity and send Cila back to Tribal Council

In the immunity challenge, the tribes have to work in pairs to drag three giant snakes back through a rope net and course. Then, the players have to work together as a trio to use tension and teamwork to bring a ball through the snake maze.

Vatu completes a huge comeback to win the challenge, while Kalo moves a little more slowly but eventually gets their ball in the hole before Cila.

The loss sends Cila back to Tribal Council.

Epic Party
“Epic Party” – 24 returning players are abandoned on the islands of Fiji for a monumental 50th season, with the chance to win $1 million. The theme of the season, “In the Hands of the Fans,” quickly materializes as decisions from the fan vote swiftly and forcefully impact the game in Survivor 50. Savannah Louie gets voted out

After a weird post-immunity challenge afternoon at the Cila beach that saw about four players in the mix to get voted out, things get even weirder at Tribal Council. Eventually, it leads to the conclusion that Cirie Fields put forth. Savannah Louie becomes the third player voted out of Survivor 50.

Savannah’s luck has officially run out on Survivor. The winner of Survivor 49 is the second winner to leave the game in consecutive weeks. That’s not a good sign for

Cirie is walking these players through Survivor again! She didn’t want Ozzy to get voted out, and within like three conversations, Cirie totally flipped the vote to a different player.

Other important moments from the episode:

  • Coach cramps up while in the ocean with Jonathan and needs to be rescued. The Dragon Slayer is having a rough time battling the elements.
  • Chrissy is playing a little bit too hard at camp. No one wants to be bossed around on Day 5. This is the time when the energy is fading, the food is hard to come by, and people are irritable.
  • Cirie is walking these players through Survivor again! She didn’t want Ozzy to get voted out, and within like three conversations, Cirie totally flipped the vote to a different player.
  • Rick Devens and Christian planted a fake idol at Tribal Council for another time. That's going to be something that, hopefully, pays off soon.

Survivor 50 episode 3 airs on Wednesday, March 11, on CBS and Paramount+!
