Survivor 50 episode 2 is finally here! I don't know why, but it felt like such a long week after the three-hour premiere. After losing two fan-favorites in the premiere to tribal council and medical evacuation, we're down to 22 players competing for the title of Sole Survivor of Survivor 50.

Heading into "Therapy Carousel," there are a few players in big trouble, but this episode is going to be a huge turning point for the rest of the season. There are so many players involved that the producers are going to have to make some narrative choices to keep the main players this season part of the story. We should also see some more gameplay in this episode after a lot of safe gameplay in the season premiere.

What time is Survivor 50 on tonight?

Survivor 50 episode 2 airs at 8 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. C on Wednesday, March 4, on CBS and Paramount+. As usual, fans on the West Coast have to wait three hours until 8 p.m. PT to watch the episode.

Unlike the season premiere, we're moving to 90-minute episodes of Survivor from here on out until the live Survivor 50 finale on Wednesday, May 20. Overall, I like the 90-minute episodes. It will probably work even better for Survivor 50 because we do have some many more players than other seasons. But, it won't feel overly long like the season premiere. While I enjoyed the premiere, that was such a long episode. I felt like I was going a little stir crazy watching that many ads over and over.

Survivor 50 episode 2 sneak peek

There's a lot to expect in the new episode, especially when the premiere ended on such a somber note. Of course, we have the Vatu and Cila tribes down a player after Jenna Lewis-Dougherty was voted out and Kyle Fraser was pulled from the game after tearing his Achilles tendon.

We'll see the fallout of Kyle's exit immediately. In the sneak peek, which was shared via Survivor YouTube Channel, we saw Genevieve Mushaluk struggling with how to move forward after losing a friend and member of her alliance in Kyle.

"In a game where you can just trust no one, Kyle just felt like home and warmth and security," Genevieve said.

In addition, we saw the Vatu tribe, including Genevieve, searching through Aubry Bracco's bag to make sure that she doesn't have an immunity idol. It appears the group is going to target her should they lose immunity, but Q Burdette and Colby Donaldson lost their vote on the journeys in the premiere.

So, that's definitely something to watch in the new episode. Kyle had relationships with a lot of other players, too, including Joe Hunter and Kamilla Karthigesu from Survivor 48. They're going to be affected by his injury, as well.

Episode 2 synopsis

We also have a brief teaser for what to expect in episode, thanks to CBS. We shared the synopsis of the episode, as well:

"Castaways are forced to go back to the drawing board and reassess their alliances. One castaway’s attempt to publicly set the record straight, sends shockwaves through the rest of camp. The reward challenge is a smash hit as tribes must shatter all other’s hopes of coming in first. Then, differences in work ethic cause strain among tribemates on SURVIVOR 50..."

There's so much juicy stuff in that synopsis, too! We saw a lot of players working together in the first episode, but after they live together for a few days, I expect those relationships will shift, as they do on every season.

We've already seen Colby complaining about Rizo's work ethic at camp. Could that boil over in episode 2 and cause a shift on their tribe? We'll just have to wait and see how it plays out.

We also got a look at the two challenges. In the first challenge, which I'm assuming is the reward challenge, the players have to move a giant snake through an obstacle course and solve a puzzle, it appears.

In the immunity challenge, we're going to get a variation of the challenge in that water that gave us on one of the most inspirational moments in Survivor history with Cirie Fields and the balance beam.

We'll be covering Survivor 50 episode 2 live. Check back during the episodes for updates.
