The fact that there's a tribe swap on the way should not be a surprise for viewers. Immediately after Savannah Louie was voted out of episode 2, viewers watched a preview of episode 3, which included Jeff Probst revealing to the players that a swap was about to happen.

It makes a lot of sense that we'd see a tribe swap right now. Cila looks overmatched in these immunity challenges, and with 21 players left, the producers can easily make the tribes even, change the game, and make everyone a little bit uncomfortable. I'm all for twists this season. It's making the game so much fun!

Instant reaction to the new tribes

I have a lot of thoughts about these new tribes. Overall, there are some super interesting groups and pairs to be excited about.

On the new Vatu tribe, we have all three players from David vs. Goliath, Mike, Christian, and Angelina. If they don't start working together and bring in another player to gain the majority, I will be absolutely shocked.

The new Kalo tribe seems like a disaster waiting to happen. First, you have Colby and Coach, who have played together before. I do not think they will mesh great together, but then you also have Joe Hunter, who is really about loyalty. We already saw him have a showdown with Rick Devens. I would love a loyalty-off between Joe and Coach.

Then, on the new Cila tribe, you have some really interesting possibilities. Rizo, Charlie, and Cirie working together would be so much fun. Jonathan has been oustanding in challenges so far. Devens has been at the center of the action. I'm a little bit worried about him now, though. Devens and Cirie are the only former Cila players on that tribe, so Devens could be in a lot of trouble early in this game if he doesn't play his cards right.
