Survivor 50 might finally give Cirie Fields the win she deserves

Survivor 50 is Cirie's world, and we're just living in it.

There are a few Survivor 50 players who feel like they deserved to win a season of Survivor by now and the $1 million prize. Aubry Bracco finished runner-up on Survivor: Kaoh Rong in a controversial vote, while Ozzy Lusth, Coach, Stephenie LaGrossa Kendrick, Joe Hunter, Colby Donaldson, and Chrissy Hofbeck also have runner-up finishes.

Cirie Fields doesn't have that runner-up finish, but there is no one more deserving of winning a Survivor season more than her. In Survivor 50, her fifth time on US Survivor and sixth time playing, it finally feels like the Survivor gods are setting up the game for Cirie to finally score her first win.

Cirie probably should have been the first player voted out

Look, I'm a huge fan of Cirie. She's one of my favorite Survivor players of all time. I think she's probably a top five player in Survivor history. She just plays such an incredible style that few players can replicate. She gains people's trust, and then, she just gets them to do whatever she wants. It's not even like she's manipulating people. She just uses her charm, wit, charisma, and incredible social skills to do it.

Obviously, other Survivor players have tried to play like her, but they've never been able to pull it off on the level that she has season after season after season.

Heading into Survivor 50, I was so worried that Cirie would be the first boot, and she probably should have been. These players love Survivor, and they know that you can't let Cirie rally the troops around her like she's done in the past. Well, they did. Jenna Lewis was the first boot, instead of Cirie, and she has barely been mentioned as a possible target since that vote.

As the Whitest Kids You Know famously said, now you have ****ed up, Survivor 50 players. This is Cirie's game to win, and everyone else is playing for second.

It's starting to feel like Cirie Fields might win Survivor 50

There are still so many players left in the game, and at some point, they're going to realize Cirie is in the driver's seat. Maybe, they want her to be in the driver's seat, though. Did you see when she got back from Exile Island with her vote? Everyone was so excited to see her. She immediately changed the plan, and almost everyone did what she wanted them to do.

It wasn't even a question. They all just followed the leader. It was one of the most amazing things we've seen this season. Ozzy completely miscalculated what Cirie would do, and she just told him why she would do it, and everyone fell in line.

Even Christian Hubicki was, like, "This is going terribly; we need Cirie," and then she magically appeared to save the day.

Now, it was a great moment in and of itself, but was there more to it? That's my big question. To me, it feels like that moment was, possibly, a turning point in Cirie's narrative. First, we had her overcoming the heat and coconuts to earn her vote back. Then, if this were a Western movie, she would ride in on her horse and save the village from the big, bad Dragon Slayer. She's literally the hero of the episode.

It's starting to feel like Cirie's season, at this point. In Survivor 50, the winner is going to need a lot of luck. Cirie just had luck fall on her side again with the twist that sent her to Exile Island, immune from elimination in the biggest Tribal Council of the season so far. She also ended up in a great spot with the Blood Moon twist. Whether that luck continues, we'll have to wait and see, but she's in a great spot to run the game at this point.

It's not just about luck, though. Cirie has displayed incredible discipline in building her relationships and never, ever losing her cool. Not only does Cirie have the numbers with Rizo and Ozzy on her side, but she also has an in with Christian, which loops in Devens, and Aubry, and Tiffany through Aubry. Jonathan Young and Joe Hunter should be on the outs now that two of their alliance members were voted out recently, but there are still so many players in the game. I don't think it's outside the question to see Jonathan, Joe, and Stephenie start to work together. Cirie and Stephenie also have a good relationship, though.

What I'm trying to say is that Cirie has a strong alliance who is looking out for her, but she also has her hands in everyone else's business and has connections with those players to work with them in the future. I don't think any other player in the game has that going right now. It would take a huge effort for someone to take out Cirie at this point because she's so insulated. Everyone would have to, at this point, basically blindside Cirie, Ozzy, and Rizo to take her out, and there's just no way these players are that organized.

It's hard to believe we're in this position in Survivor 50. Do these players see just how close Cirie is to the finish line? Is that what the show wants us to think? I have more questions than answers, but everything is pointing to a Cirie victory at this point.
