The most recent winner is back to make history as the first consecutive two-time Sole Survivor. Does she have what it takes to make it happen?

While fans just watched Savannah Louie completely dominate Survivor 49, we’re about to dive into a new season where the players know absolutely nothing about her or her game. We don’t even know if they know she won.

Savannah has high potential to be a huge threat in the game, and everyone else might not know it, but they’ll definitely fear it, as well.

Savannah started strong on the Uli tribe. Though they didn’t win the marooning challenge, Rizo Velovic earned their supplies in the subsequent challenge, giving them fire and the fuel they needed to go on and place in the next three immunity challenges.

During this time, she secured a tight alliance with an Uli majority of Rizo, Nate Moore, and Shannon Fairweather. She did her best to keep good relations with her two other Uli tribe mates, Sage Ahrens-Nichols and Jawan Pitts, but Jawan continuously used her stuff, which irked her to no end.

On day 8, when a tribe swap moved herself, Rizo, Jawan, and Nate to the Hina tribe where they held the majority over original Hina members Jason Treul and Matt Williams, along with original Kele Sophi Balerdi, she made sure Jawan felt a welcome part of the tribe to keep the numbers. She also bonded with Sophi and brought her into the Uli alliance.

While new Hina went on to lose the next two immunity challenges, it was easy to vote out Matt and Jason—respectively—as they both proved they wouldn’t be willing to work with any original Uli members post-merge. Even through another tribe swap—in addition to her alliance being the majority—Savannah was safe as they won immunity and avoided Tribal Council.

The next day at the merge, Savannah learned that Sage and Jawan had blindsided her day 1 ally Shannon Fairweather, but needed their numbers, so continued to include them in Uli alliance plans. That night, however, Sage and Jawan once again flipped by voting another original Uli, Nate Moore.

Fearing her place in the game, Savannah pushed herself in a team immunity challenge where she won immunity and reward for her group. This, however, sent her closest ally Rizo off to Tribal Council with the two Uli flippers and two former Hina members. Luckily, he at least had a—known—hidden immunity idol to protect him.

If You're Loyal to All, You're Loyal to None
“If You’re Loyal to All, You’re Loyal to None” – Upon the losing group’s return from tribal, the remaining castaways are in utter disbelief after learning who was sent home. Stakes increase for this week’s immunity challenge when two immunity necklaces are up for grabs. Then, one player’s not-so-hidden immunity idol comes into focus during this week’s tribal council, on SURVIVOR, Wednesday, Nov. 19 (8:00-9:30 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and available to stream on Paramount+ (live

In a game twist, Savannah received the immunity necklace and was sent off to strategize with the losing group, where she was given the opportunity to either participate in the vote or bank her vote for later. She and Rizo were able to move the target off of him and onto the two Hina players, saving both his idol and her vote.

In a men vs. women immunity challenge, Savannah once again earned herself safety and she and her alliance were able to move the target off of them, allowing Rizo to forgo playing his idol. But at the next Tribal Council, Savannah found herself vulnerable after hearing that Sage and Jawan were leading a blindside against her. She orchestrated the numbers and used her extra vote—though she didn’t need it—to flip the script and instead blindside Jawan.

Without immunity once again, Sophie Segreti wanted to now blindside Savannah, so instead Savannah pitched Sophie as the leader of the Jawan blindside to Sage, prompting her to seek revenge and vote with them to get out Sophie—Savannah’s biggest challenge adversary.

She went on to win the next two immunity challenges—tying the all-time female challenge record—and voting out the last two remaining Hina players. At Final Four, Sophi beat out Savannah for immunity and chose to take Sage to the end, pitting her against Rizo in a fire-making challenge.

Savannah beat her day 1 ally at fire, sending him to the jury, and earning herself a spot at Final Tribal Council. While she faced criticism from some jurors for failing to form better bonds with them, she highlighted her ability to adapt and keep herself alive when everyone else was targeting her for the majority of the game. This won her the title of Sole Survivor in a 5-2-1 victory.

Survivor 50 Predictions: How far will Savannah go?

While the jury felt Savannah didn’t do a good job of making friends, that didn’t stop her from winning the game. And the people she’s up against in season 50 won’t necessarily care that she doesn’t know the name of their children or partners if she’s helping them play the game well. As long as people don’t know she and Rizo were aligned and they don’t know how well she actually did in Survivor 49, she has the potential to once again go far

Savannah Louie Survivor 50 Player Score

In a new era game, Savannah clearly had what it takes to win, but against the old school players, she’s going to have to put up a little bit more of a fight. The player pool is a little tougher this time around, but I think she’s up for the challenge.

Outwit (Social Game): 7/15

Outplay (Physical Game): 11/15

Outlast (Strategic Game): 9/15

Wildcard Factor: 4/5

Total Player Score: 31/50

Personally, what I’ve been most interested to find out is how much information from Survivor 49 host Jeff Probst plans to share with the players going into the season. Will he reveal that Savannah won? Will he reveal that Rizo made it to the Final Four? Will he leave the rest of the details to them to decide what comes out? I’m very curious to see what goes down when Survivor 50 premieres Wednesday, February 25 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS and Paramount +!
