Survivor 51is only days away, so it’s time for me to play my favorite pre-season game: who is going to make it to the end and who will be lost along the way. I’ve already reviewed all the men competing this season, so it’s time to take a look at the powerhouse women of the cast.
Something I noticed early on in the first look photos was that there were some serious “boys alliance” vibes based on the early, pre-tribe distribution marooning pictures. And while most might think that means we’re going to get a dominant group of men controlling the game, I actually think such a strong male energy at the top of the game is going to be detrimental to them and lead to the women completely annihilating them by the end.
In fact, I think we might see another all-female finale like we did inSurvivor 49. And if that’s the case, that means one of our winners is right here…and I think I know who it is!
Now, a reminder, all of my predictions are based purely on a 26-year study ofSurvivor. I have absolutely no idea what happened on that island, but I do know howSurvivorworks and which players are most likely to thrive. In fact, I’ve previously predicted Kyle Fraser winningSurvivor 48, Savannah Louie winningSurvivor 49, and while I thought Christian Hubicki was a lock forSurvivor 50, I did say I would only be happy if Aubry Bracco won.
So take everything I think with a grain of salt, but also…I have a pretty good track record…
Aaliyah Puglia (24, Chef)
Performance Prediction:Aaliyah gives off Dee Valladares-vibes in a mix of creative social politics and under-the-radar competitiveness. But chefs are not known for their ability to socially navigate situations or egos, which means she could not be long for the island. But in the open era, where any advantage can come into play any time, her luck could change on a dime, though I don’t expect it to, unfortunately.

Alexis Levine (34, Criminal Defense Attorney)
Performance Prediction:Though Alexis is armed with legal skills, she has the ability to be a chameleon in this game by putting herself as the tribe mom first and a strategic player second. She has the ideal toolkit for jury management and if she makes it to the end, assuming she has the right resume, she could be a threat for votes. But there’s a high chance her relationships could ultimately be her fatal weakness and get her taken out before she can speak on anyone’s behalf on the jury.

An “Thien An” Nguyen (24, Medical Student)
Performance Prediction:Thien An has a bubbly, adorable personality that will be the perfect shield for her medical student mind. She could easily flow between multiple voting blocs and always find herself on the right side of the vote, but without a Day 1 alliance, it might be difficult to stay in the late game.

Ana Sani (34, Voice Actress)
Performance Prediction:Blending a Kamilla Karthigesu-style vibrant personality with an uncanny ability to adapt her own voice based on the situation, Ana’s flexible nature makes her a high-value player in this game. But varietal personalities can also be a threat and raise some major alarms, especially in a small starting tribe. If she can mask her ability to social shift to each conversation she has, she has potential to make it to the end.

Angelica “Jelly” Loblack (29, Sociology Professor)
Performance Prediction:Jelly’s profession immediately gives her a leg up on the competition. The ability to read people and group dynamics logically rather than emotionally makes her the highest threat in a social experiment. As long as she avoids over-intellectualizing early camp life and her tribe mates, her threat status will remain visibly low and allow her to go as far as a highly social player can before getting sent to the jury.

Jenna Doore (30, Wedding Photographer)
Performance Prediction:As a photographer, Jenna has a keen, observative eye. That along with her high energy and clear empathy, she has the potential to act as the natural tribe glue that will bond her to everyone easily without drawing suspicion because, “of course everyone likes her.” A positive personality without an annoying edge to it will make her indispensable in the early stages of the game, and highly unthreatening in the later stage. She could sneak her way to the very end and have the jury votes to back up a win.

Kristin Flickinger (49, Crisis Management Specialist)
Performance Prediction:Though Kristin is the oldest castaway this season, I think that’s going to help her in the long run. She’s been working in crisis management as long asSurvivorhas been airing, so she’ll be a cool, calm, and collected presence in the tribe through blindsides, advantage disruptions, and general gameplay drama. Being a stabilizing force for her tribe will keep her threat level low in the beginning, but could start to spike some concerns at the end.

Linnea Capobianco (25, Entrepreneur)
Performance Prediction:All the advertisements for the season have Linnea front and center, clearly the main character for the editors. That kind of presence is giving Rick Devens, Rizo Velovic, Joe Hunter vibes from recent seasons. Just because someone is highly marketed doesn’t mean they win—or even make it to the end. And I think she’s the exact kind of magician’s distraction that will keep audiences entertained and rooting for her until the rug is pulled out from under us and she’s blindsided to the jury.

Maggie Nestor (40, Farmer)
Performance Prediction:Maggie will be a cornerstone of early survival in camp life as well as a general positive figure for camp morale. But her can-do attitude and work ethic might come off as a lack of desire to play the game which I could see rubbing some of these players the wrong way, especially the ones who don’t know her as well after a tribe swap. While she’ll make someone a beloved ally, she’ll also likely find her niceness doesn’t help when she’s on the wrong side of the numbers and not a part of strategic conversations.

Patt Cannaday (33, Federal Prosecutor)
Performance Prediction:From the way Patt speaks, you can tell she is highly analytical, intense, and trained to dissect lies. She’s going to bring courtroom-grade tactics to the game, but if she doesn’t hide it well, she’ll develop an early target on her back like the legal professionals that came before her. Managing a high-threat profile will likely lead to her make-or-break moment and could mean an early exit.

Sharonda Cox (34, OBGYN Resident)
Performance Prediction:Doctors are historically goodSurvivorplayers with incredible flexibility that allows them to socially adapt with different types of people, remain calm in intense pressure situations, and logically think through things quickly to act rationally, but fast. Her primary challenge will be suppressing her intelligence so tribemates don’t find her threatening too early on—though that might be the reason she ends up on the jury.
