After Survivor 50 gave us so many familiar faces back on our screens, we’ve been seeing more and more past players step forward to share who they’d like to see back in the game next. Just recently, Boston Rob Mariano shared the players he’d most want to see on the next “All-Star” iteration of the long-running reality competition show.
And when season 2’s winner, Tina Wesson, chatted with Entertainment Weekly about who she’d want to see return, she couldn’t give just one answer. “I don’t think I have one person that I’d like to see come back,” the three-time player revealed. “I think what I would like for a future season is the people who were first voted off.”

Technically—without the stipulation that only single-season first vote offs are allowed to be cast—she could be included in this group since, though she won Survivor: The Australian Outback, her first return to the game for Survivor: All-Stars was met with a first ousting as well. So would she want to be included on that list?
“I had my chances, so I’m okay with that,” she says, confirming her time fighting for $1 million is likely over. “But [it’s about] the people who really, I don’t feel like got a fair shake, or they got a fair shake, but they were first off. So I want them all to come back.”
And there are so many players who were voted out first that fans have begged to see come back over the years. Least of which includes Francesca Hogi who was voted out first not only when she played Survivor: Redemption Island, but also for her return season, Survivor: Caramoan. She is effectively the only player in the history of the show who has been voted off first, twice.
But there are a few other memorable first boots like Survivor: China’s Steve “Chicken” Morris who mostly is remembered fondly by fans due to his name or Survivor: Samoa’s Marisa Calihan who was too smart to fall for Russell Hantz’s schemes and ultimately became his first victim instead. More recently, fans have several reasons why they’d want to see Survivor 46’s first boot, David Jellinsky—most of which are based around entertainment value—but even more reasons to want the return of Survivor 47’s Jon Lovett, who had the potential to be one of the best social strategic players in the new era.
“I feel like we all have this desire to play the game, right?” Tina continues. “And we go through all the hoops that we have to do to get on the show. And the people who are first off, my heart breaks for them, because it’s not fair. I’m still all about fair, and I just want to see a season where they all get a chance to come back and really play the game.”
