No pre-game alliances here—that we know of, yet—but lots of pre-game predictions coming out forSurvivor 51. And while we’ve already predicted how we think thetribes are going to be split, we’re now wondering if we can decipher which players are going to become our dynamic duo of the season.

Think about the next Savannah Louie and Rizo Velovic. Or Kyle Fraser and Kamilla Karthigesu. Heck, since the open era is taking us back to everything pre-Winners at War, too, think Tony Vlachos and Sarah Lacina.

You know exactly who I’m talking about. The players who run the game in perfect harmony before getting close enough to the end that they have to take each other out. And each other these duos bonded over something that makes up a part of their identity, which is why they were so strong. Savannah and Rizo both bonded over their love of early eraSurvivor, Kyle and Kamilla bonded over…everythingthat they love, and Tony and Sarah bonded overboth being police officers, creating the iconic Cops ‘R Us alliance.

So who fromSurvivor 51do we have our eyes on? Below are our picks for top 3 most likely dynamic duos to come out of the new season.

Brady Booker & An “Thien An” Nguyen

Both players rock yellow buffs in thesneak peek trailerforSurvivor 51, so we’re assuming they’re on the same tribe and if they are, they could be a powerful couple. Very similar to Kyle and Kamilla, the two have potential to create a classic “shield & strategist”-style alliance. Brady’s high challenge capabilities and theatrical charisma will naturally draw early attention, so he’ll want to align with someone who can keep him safe with the numbers.

Thien An is literally in medical school, so she knows how to stay composed under pressure, solve problems quickly, and analyze situations. If she’s able to use Brady’s big personality as a shield for her own quiet strategy to play out, she can direct the votes while keeping Brady protected and loyal.

Alexis Levine & Rob Antonson

Both of these players arehugelyinvested in their families. I predict they will bond with each other because they’ll both want to know about the others’ life back home while many of their other tribe mates are not in life phases where they want to hear about someone’s kids. But Alexis’s elite interrogation skills from being a criminal defense attorney mixed with the emotional intelligence Rob has from his job as an airline gate agent—where you literally have to deal with the worst people—could be very powerful.

They also have the chance to frame themselves as the “mom & dad” of the group, being the shoulder for other players to lean on when they’re missing home and ultimately bonding with everyone so they can steer their tribe mates' thoughts without putting a target on their own backs. And that’s a position that is valued post-merge as well. So they have a huge chance of success if they align together.

Angelia “Jelly” Loblack & Patt Cannaday

We don’t have confirmation that these two are on the same tribe—via their buff colors in the sneak peek—but there’s a blonde with their hair in a low bun working through a challenge with Jelly, so we can only assume that’s Patt. But the fact that Jelly’s a sociology professor and Patt is a federal prosecutor means they could truly control this whole game together. Both will have such a good finger on the pulse of the game that if they team up, they could potentially be unstoppable.

Jelly literally studies and teaches people how to study human behavior and social structures while Patt negotiates the outcomes she wants for a living. They have the potential to, collectively, have a bird’s eye view on the entire game for the entire game. When people think they’re one step ahead, this dynamic duo will be five steps ahead, perfectly predicting the other players’ next steps along the way.
