In a new video interview, Survivor host Jeff Probst previewed an early twist in season 34, Game Changers, and even mentioned one tribe’s early advantage.

As we get closer to Survivor Game Changers, more information has started to hit the internet. Some of it comes courtesy of none other than Jeff Probst (with, of course, an additional tip of the hat to Entertainment Weekly for this one).

In the attached video, Probst informs us that the show will once again give players the chance to grab supplies before the game starts. We fully expect there to be at least one chicken somewhere. However, as has happened in the past, there will be some extra goodies available for a player willing to spend some energy. In this case, it sounds like there will be some tools available on a buoy.

According to Probst, however, only one player will go for it. Take a look at the cast list. You get three guesses who will go for it.

More from Surviving Tribal

J.T. Thomas? No.

Malcolm Freberg? Nope.

Come now, who on that list would throw himself into the water right away?

Yup, Ozzy Lusth will show off and go out for the Nuku Tribe. Did anyone from the Mana Tribe go after him, though? No, says Probst. In fact, the game changers on Mana managed to shock him by not trying to win that advantage. Perhaps Mana thought there wouldn’t be any way to catch up to Ozzy once they noticed him going.

With tools, a tribe can build a much better shelter early on, meaning that castaways can get better sleep and make challenges easier. However, that advantage doesn’t mean anything if players don’t put it to use.

With experienced players, though, we fully expect to see Nuku hammering and sawing away as soon as they get to camp.
