“Odd with Aubry” is a podcast where Aubry Bracco talks to the weird and wonderful about their perspectives on life. It kicks off with Troyzan.

There are quite a few people out there who have played the game of Survivor and went on to make a podcast afterward. Rob Cesternino, Russell Hantz, Corinne Kaplan and Max Dawson have gone on to podcast about Survivor, while people like Spencer Bledsoe have used their fame to talk about other pursuits. Aubry Bracco is the latest to join that latter route in life.

“Odd With Aubry” is the name of Aubry Bracco’s recently announced podcast. In it, she will “be sharing a collection of characters and quirky bits of life.” She insists it’s not a Survivor podcast, but due to the impact it’s had on her life and the oddities, weirdness and weirdos that come from the show, it will inevitably be brought up from time to time.

To demonstrate the willingness to avoid falling back on Survivor talk, she invited fellow Survivor Game Changers castaway Troyzan Robertson to talk mostly about his interesting life outside of the game. This includes the origins of his nickname, his and Aubry’s shared love of outer space, aliens and more, and very little about the “Green Monster” (whatever that could be).

More from Survivor Players

Aubry Bracco is a wonderfully weird person on her own, but to hear Troyzan open up about his life and his thoughts on life are just otherworldly. Not only that, you can hear the passion in his voice when talking about our standing in the universe. When he says how reaching the next closest star to Earth four light years away means traveling the speed it takes to circle our planet six times in a second for four straight years, you can hear Troyzan be as passionate as he ever was on Survivor Game Changers.

It’s an interesting turn for Aubry Bracco, as her role as host shifts from storyteller to story elaborator and explorer. In her Survivor Game Changers bonus confessionals, she really showed a great ability to orate the season’s events, so for her to guide someone else’s story will showcase her true talents as the podcast goes on.
