With four players caught between a Dom and a hard place (Wendell), the Survivor Ghost Island finale photos tease tension and a huge maze.
This post will feature press photos of the Survivor Ghost Island finale, “It Is Game Time Kids,” showing screen grabs of the footage to come.
I’m not a fan of finale nights starting with a Final Six group. Survivor Ghost Island is yet another 20-player season, and with a safer locale in Fiji, there isn’t enough time to properly tell the story of each player, forcing these bloated finale episodes.
If there’s any consolation, CBS is aiming to go strong out of the gate with the Survivor Ghost Island finale, as the press photos indicate that the grandiose Immunity Challenge starts players out with the biggest maze in the show’s history right off the bat.
Here it is; an overview of the Final Six Immunity Challenge for Survivor Ghost Island. Players will travel throughout the maze to collect bags with puzzle pieces at different stations, bringing it back to their starting area to solve a puzzle.
Based on the structures at the start of the challenge, I suspect that the players will be filling in the middle with some sort of skull to recreate the season’s logo. It follows the traditional pattern of big challenges in finale nights, although coming at the Final Six is certainly a tad earlier than expected.
The press photos show one player grab multiple bags and some players without any, so I won’t post any indication of who leads the challenge early. Instead, here’s a photo of Jeff Probst doing Probst-like things.
Here’s Jeff at another challenge to be aired later during the Survivor Ghost Island finale, suggesting it could be some sort of aquatic-based challenge.
Finally, here stands Jeff Probst after (probably) handing the final Immunity Necklace of the season at a third challenge. Thankfully, CBS learned from their mistakes last season when Dr. Mike was seemingly absent in a ton of these press photos, as the rest focus on camp life before the Final Six Tribal Council.
In all of Sebastian Noel’s isolated photos, he’s either looking at fire or covered in smoke. Could he be one of the players to participate in the fire-making challenge?

If you wanted a better idea of who wins Survivor Ghost Island, most of the press photos for the Final Six camp show Domenick plotting and scheming with Wendell, Laurel and even Angela. It’s possible this becomes another Millennials vs. Gen X situation, and someone pulls off an Adam-like win, but it’s hard to glean that from the press photos.

In contrast, the only non-challenge photos Wendell is in are those talking to Domenick. He’s supposed to have the second-best odds, but perhaps he’s just not as important in Final Six decision-making as he is in the subsequent votes.

Laurel’s photos show her listening to others offscreen or talking to Domenick, showing her continued role of the third wheel to multiple voting vehicles. Unfortunately, it will be difficult to make a move now and almost impossible past Final Six, so expect more “will she/won’t she” moments in the finale.

Angela Perkins had one whole sentence last episode. However, this press image implies she’ll have more than one in the finale. Yay. Progress.
Despite imploding in the last episode, this is the only photo of Donathan isolated by himself at camp of the Survivor Ghost Island press photos available. Is he an obvious out, or is he put in the penalty box as others decide whether or not to keep him as a goat?

That, and so much more, will be answered when the Survivor Ghost Island finale airs on May 23 from 8 p.m. ET to 11 p.m. ET. It’s going to be the last episode of the show for almost four months, so treasure it while it lasts!
