Two-thirds of the cast for Survivor’s 38th season of the show has been reported, and the 12th person is also 25 or younger.

It’s been more than five weeks since Survivor season 38 ended filming, yet the casting leaks have come few and far between. In fact, today’s reported 12th castaway of 18 (including the four returnee captains) marks the shortest turnaround on casting updates, showing just how much this season’s cast is on social media lockdown.

According to the ever-reliable Martin Holmes of Inside Survivor, the 12th castaway for Survivor season 38 has been revealed, balancing the genders of the players revealed so far. She is the first person to come from her state that hasn’t had a reputation before coming into this season; a far cry from what we’ve seen in the 37th season of the show.

The 12 castaways listed for Survivor: Edge of Extinction so far can be seen over at the original source’s website.

For the rest of the cast, insiders and the spoiler community are looking for three males and three females in order to get an even split for the show. Right now, the demographics suggest the oldest female remains the 32-year-old female and the oldest male is 46 years old. Once again, it’s another step back from what’s going on in David vs. Goliath.

With all these younger players revealed so far, you have to wonder how much harder it would be for the players to survive on bare necessities. Usually, having gone through the hardships of life and the challenges it brings helps you tough it out, although certain youngsters may enter with the mindset of being invincible. It will be a more compelling question once the rest of the cast is revealed.
