We're seven episodes into Survivor 48, which is more than halfway. After the latest episode, it's clear that we've reached a key turning point in the game. These players are starting to pull out all the stops and try to win this game.
So far, there are a few players playing better games than others. Are these players more likely to win or be voted out next? Well, that's the fun part!
For this list, Mary Zheng, David Kinne, and Joe Hunter just missed out on making it. Based on a few moves here and there, they could definitely jump any of these players at any time.
4. Eva Erickson

Eva Erickson is playing an awesome game so far. She's competed really well in challenges. She has a super tight alliance with Joe Hunter, and they've pulled in a few others to grow their influence in the game, as well. Plus, she was awarded a hidden immunity idol from Star Toomey after solving the unsolvable puzzle. Eva has great instincts, and if things ended today, she's right around that Final Three consideration.
I would have moved Eva up to No. 3, but I think the target on her back is going to grow bigger and bigger as the season goes on. She has clear friends and allies all over the beach. She's a physical threat, too, and she has an immunity idol that everyone knows about. I keep talking about that because that's a huge deal. I don't think the players are making viewing Eva and Joe as a huge threat yet for some reason, but it's only a matter of time before that happens.
And, look, even if everyone likes Joe and Eva, that idol starts to be a huge talking point. Everyone is looking to make a big move and build a resume. Why not try to take out two physical threats and an idol with a big move at this point?
3. Kamilla Karthigesu

I love the strategic masterminds on every season of Survivor, and that's why I'm a huge fan of Kamilla Karthigesu. She is diabolical! Every move she has made has been perfectly calculated. She's planting the seeds of doubt all over this island, framing other players, and manufacturing scenarios that should help her game progress.
She might not be a huge threat in these super-physical challenges, but her time is coming. She solved Kyle Fraser's puzzle to win the immunity idol in no time at all. We've seen her solve puzzles in challenges. If Kamilla gets to the final stages of the game, she might be able to outwit her way to the end.
We've seen players like Kamilla eventually get caught. Genevieve Mushaluk did that in Survivor 47. She made too good of a move too soon, and everyone was like, "Wait a minute." Genevieve almost pulled off the impossible, and Kamilla might have to make a similar "Operation: Italy" move to keep herself in the game at some point.
2. Shauhin Davari

Shauhin Davari is working really hard to stay behind some of the bigger physical threats like Joe and David Kinne, who won immunity in episode 7. And, I think that's how Shauhin wins this game. He's going to need a few immunity wins and a few votes to fall his way, but from a social perspective, there is no player playing a better game than Shauhin. He seems to be involved in every key decision happening in the game right now, and he's super charismatic, likable, and entertaining. That is exactly where he needs to stay to win the game.
Eventually, no one will want to sit next to Shauhin in the end, especially if he starts stringing some moves together. That makes him a huge threat, but it really looks like he's dominating in a key aspect of the game. Now, he just needs to outplay his competition, and this game is in the bag.
1. Kyle Fraser

I don't think there's any question about the player building the best resume in Survivor 48 right now, and that's Kyle Fraser. He has an individual immunity win under his belt already. He only went to Tribal Council one time before the merge.
While he has been targeted, Kyle also found a hidden immunity idol and played it successfully to stop himself from getting voted out. That's probably the biggest move in the game so far, and it caused a major shakeup in a key alliance that could have taken over the game had Kyle not played his idol correctly.
In addition, Kyle is working with Kamilla very secretly to dictate this game. We haven't seen it come to fruition, but there is a clear strategy to their tactics. I think Kamilla might be the mastermind behind those moves, Kyle is right there alongside, and he's actually probably keeping some of the heat off Kamilla by shielding her from others. They are in a great spot individually and separately.
