CBS is shaking things up for the next episode of Survivor 50: In the Hands of the Fans. For the second time this season, CBS has big plans for a new episode of Survivor 50.
Survivor 50 episode 10, "A Side Dish of Chaos," will air in its normal time slot on Wednesday, April 28, at 8 p.m. ET. For this special episode, CBS is extending the episode from 90 minutes to two hours, so the episode will actually air from 8 to 10 p.m. ET, not 8 to 9:30 p.m. ET, like most episodes of the season.
Obviously, this is big news. So far, the only Survivor 50 episodes to exceed 90 minutes were the season premiere, which resulted in two players getting eliminated from the game, and the Blood Moon twist, which saw three players voted out.
Will we see two players sent home in this episode? It's definitely possible. We have 10 players remaining, and we need to get down to five or six players remaining before the season finale, which is only three episodes away.
Here's the synopsis for the episode:
“A Side Dish of Chaos – One castaway comes clean to the tribe about a previously deceptive move. The crowd favorite SURVIVOR auction returns, with an extra special season 50 spin. Chaos ensues when social media icon MrBeast arrives on the scene, on SURVIVOR 50, Wednesday, April 29 (8:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT)..."
Unfortunately, it's hard to say if Survivor is setting up another double elimination for the upcoming episode or if it's just devoting more time to the special guest coming to visit the players in Fiji.

MrBeast arrives in Survivor 50 episode 10
CBS has confirmed that Survivor 50 episode 10 will be the MrBeast episode we've all been expecting since the first look at the new season was released. After Jeff Probst appeared on an episode of Beast Games season 2, Jimmy Donaldson, also known as MrBeast is bringing a special briefcase with him to the Survivor 50 auction, which will also take place during this episode.
At the auction, Probst calls the briefcase a "MrBeast Super Beware Advantage." I'm assuming that the players will be bidding on said advantage, but like, if they fail the task, what will the negative be? Will someone be eliminated from the game automatically? How high are these stakes?
We don't know what MrBeast has in store, but I'm just hoping it's better than a spearfish cookout or a Jimmy Fallon disadvantage.
Perhaps this was always the plan to have the auction episode be a two-hour episode. We have a challenge and Tribal Council, an auction, and a special guest, so that's a lot to pack into a normal episode.
It's also possible that some of the reports about Survivor recutting some scenes because of backlash to Zac Brown's appearance on Survivor 50, which saw the country superstar take home the lion's share of screentime during the episode.
We'll have to wait and see how it all plays out on Wednesday, April 28, but don't forget to make more time than usual for Survivor this week!
