Over the last few years we’ve seen a lot of Survivor fan events helmed by the show itself. From the Survivor Cafe pop-ups in Boston and Miami to the Survivor 50 Challenge where fans across the country could search for an official immunity idol, CBS has brought us so many ways to enjoy our favorite show between seasons.
And as we approach the premiere of Survivor 51 on September 23, 2026, we’re also getting a huge fan moment to celebrate along with it!
In an Instagram post this morning, host and showrunner Jeff Probst announced a new experience called “Survivor Island” coming to the American Dream Mall in New Jersey on Saturday, September 19, 2026.
“You can play some challenges,” the Emmy-nominated host explains on the official Survivor channel, “you can experience Tribal Council, we’ll have some Survivor alumni there, we will have the Survivors—the new castaways—from Survivor 51 there.”
Since this event will take place before the premiere, fans will have a chance to meet some of the new cast of players at Survivor Island and decide who they think is going to win this season.
The official event page describes Survivor Island as, “a tropical oasis where the adventure is real, the challenges are waiting, and anything can happen!” And if you’ve ever been to the American Dream Mall, you know that they’re going all out on the set-up. Expect to feel truly immersed.
There’s nothing quite like stepping into the American Dream Mall and realizing that you will be transported to so many different places in one afternoon. So for those planning to attend Survivor Island, go to the official Survivor page to grab your tickets so you can compete in challenges against real Survivor players for a chance to attend an advance screening of the premiere episode.
“Anybody who’s a Survivor fan, I’m telling you, I think you’ll be satisfied,” Probst continues in his announcement. “We put a lot of time and effort into these. We want them to be great and I think they are.”
We can’t wait to see how big the show is going in preparation for the “open era” of Survivor where—as we’ve been continuously told—everything is on the table. Maybe Survivor Island will even include some easter eggs of what to expect on the new season! We’ll have to wait until September to find out, but it sounds like it’s going to be a fan experience like no other.
