Jeff Probst just revealed a new partnership with Exploding Kittens for the ultimate at-home Survivor experience. Of course, I'm talking about the new Survivor card game, Survivor: The Tribe Has Spoken.
According to a press release, the new Survivor card game launches on Jan. 12, 2025. You can buy the game for $19.99 on Amazon, Walmart, and Target, and other retailers right now! It was available for pre-order, but it looks like pre-orders have already sold out at Target. It's still available for pre-order at Amazon, but probably not for long!
It's such a bummer that the game is not available right now because it's the perfect gift for Survivor fans! Honestly, I can't imagine a better gift for a Survivor fan this holiday season. Though, if you can get a pre-order, you can always print out the receipt, wrap it up, and tell the Survivor fan in your life that they can expect their gift to be delivered on Jan. 12.
Jeff Probst teased the launch of the game on his Instagram.
Here is the official summary of the game from Exploding Kittens, via Target:
"Survivor: The Tribe Has Spoken™ is the only official Survivor card game. This party game is the closest you can get to competing on the island without leaving your living room. You’ll collect advantages, find hidden Immunity Idols, form secret alliances, and vote out other players to become the sole survivor. Designed by Jeff Probst, this thrilling family game is perfect for adults, teens, kids, Survivor superfans, and newbies alike!"
According to the description, it's for ages 8 years old and up, although it might be a challenge to introduce some of the nuances of the game to kids that young. This is Survivor after all; it's no walk in the park! Oh, and you'll need at least three players, but no more than six players, to play Survivor: The Tribe Has Spoken.
Exploding Kittens seems like the perfect partner for Survivor: The Tribe Has Spoken. That game is one of the more out-there mainstream card games, but it's super fun because it's easy to learn, easy to play, and involves a surprising amount of risk and strategy. While Survivor, too, involves a lot of risk and strategy, it's one of the few games that only a select few contestants will ever get to play. A card game is much, much more accessible than spending nearly four weeks on a beach in the South Pacific Ocean.
I'm a huge fan of Exploding Kittens, and my family and I have been watching Survivor since the start of the show. So, I can't wait to play this game with them. Again, it would have been great to play over the holidays, but I'm fine with waiting a few weeks, of course.
We'll share more news about Survivor: The Tribe Has Spoken as we get closer to the launch date!
Don't forget to watch the Survivor 47 winner crowned during the season finale on Wednesday, Dec. 18, only on CBS and Paramount+!
