For the first time this season, two players were voted out on the same episode in Survivor 46, episode 7, "Episode Several." It's by far the funniest episode title of Survivor in a long time. It's reference to Jelinsky's comment in the first episode of the season that "several" meant "seven." It's the seventh episode of the season, so it's "Episode Several," and I love it!

You know who wasn't loving episode 7, though? The two contestants who were voted out!

Who was voted out of Survivor in episode 7?

For the immunity and reward challenge, the Nuinui tribe was split into two groups of six. Each contestant balanced on a floating platform. The last remaining person from each group won individual immunity and were safe at tribal council, where each group of six would vote out one person. It's an excellent twist to shake up the tribal lines this early in the game.

Kenzie won immunity for her group, which also included Q, Tiffany, Hunter, Tim, and Ben. It's a strong group, but Kenzie came out on top. It also meant the Yanu members, for the first time in the game, had the power.

After a lot of back and forth and Q trying to run the show, Kenzie, Tiffany, and Q sided with Hunter and voted out Tim.

This move made a lot of sense. Tim was trying to play both sides and wouldn't commit to voting out Ben, a former Siga member, over Hunter, who Tim was supposed to be in an alliance with. Overall, Tim, as Q pointed out, was trying to play the long game. Not committing to one side or the other made Tim a target.

For the other group, which consisted of Maria, Charlie, Venus, Tevin, Soda, and Liz, Maria won immunity and earned a food reward for this group of people by lasting on her platform longer than everyone else. Unfortunately, this meant that Charlie, the only non-former Nami member without immunity, was on the chopping block.

It didn't take long for the former Nami tribe to target their own, though, which gave Maria and Charlie all of the power in the game. Soda suggested they join forces to take out Venus, while Venus wanted to target Tevin with a misdirection at Soda. Tevin's plan to take out Soda eventually was what the tribe went with, and they blindsided Soda.

Soda, then, became the first member of the Survivor 46 jury. Tim and Moriah, who was eliminated in episode 6, are not part of the jury, which is huge because they're both Siga members. Nami has the most players who could potentially be part of the jury. Will that matter? In my opinion, no, probably not, but it could if things swing the right way.

Overall, it makes a lot of sense why Tim and Soda were the people who were targeted. They were two strong players with massive strengths in the game. Tim was forging alliances with almost everyone in the game. Soda was friends with everyone, and in the new era of Survivor, that's enough to be targeted.

From here, it will be interesting to see how things shake out. Will Hunter continue working with the former Yanu members? Will Q continue to run the show and play as hard as he is?

For me, it's clear what's happening. Siga has lost three members in the last four tribal councils. Maria, Charlie, and Ben must figure out a way to pull in the others before it's too late.

Survivor 46, episode 8 airs on Wednesday, April 17, at 8 p.m. on CBS and Paramount+.
